Had about 6 plants from a specific family, turning purple. All have died except 1 male
I have some desirable females from other non purple varieties.
So it's 1 male that turns purple and regular colored females. Would it be possible to recreate or at least get close to the male family by mixing them with females?
So (purp male x regular female)... Then mix off spring with the original father (purp regular female x purp male)
If I do this against the purple father and the possible purple female offsprings can I in theory and eventually get to the purple line?
I have one male that's alive and pollen from another male of the same family. I fear I have lost females from the population so I just want to at least get a stock of purple colored plants even tho I have NO females only 1 male that's alive and 1 male pollen stock.
Any tips or threads I can read. I'm just trying to maintain the purple colores.
Thanks
