Raves?

Alright, so Ive been invited to a rave party that's going down next Saturday. It starts at 11pm and doesn't end 'til 7am. I've never been to anything like this, I don't even listen to house or trance music. Even though I have no idea what I'm getting into, I'm always down to try some new stuff. So, my icmag brothers and sisters, is there anything I need to know before going to this thing? Can I just go in regular clothes, or do I need to dress crazy or something? I'd fit in better at a wutang show, or even a phil lesh show, then a rave (I think).

(I'd like to keep this thread open, if it starts to grow, so lets try not to talk about any other substances besides herb)

I dont think i could last a couple minutes at a rave with a bunch of strobe lights and the same beat repeating. It would make me go nuts!! But i am going to a Wu tang show in jan!!!! CANT WAIT!!!

Its pretty Fun stylls but u jus hab to pop a pill to enjoy the intense music and environment if u smoke weed in there its jus goin to make you want to leave wear comfortable clothing because it gets mad humid and sweaty drink plenty of water or energy drink...

just go with an open mind. you may like it you may not but nonetheless will be a good experience and as for what to wear, whatever you god damn like. raves are filled with freaks there not gonna care. is this an illegal or a legal rave? if illegal you can be sure no one is going to bat an eyelid if you spark up a joint.

Totally different vibes from anything else. People will just be off their faces hugging each other probably, no bad attitudes.

If your friends go raving regularly, ask them if they can hook you up with some MDMA, will make the experience unforgettable. Just make sure you drink plenty water and have lots of bud to smoke for the morning after!

Yep the bud portion of that plan is taken care of, it's a legal rave, which kinda sucks, but I guess there are some good people playing. DJ Venom, Josh the funky 1, bam-bam, and Alex Peace, for what it's worth. Before yesterday I had no idea who any of them were, but I've been listening to the funky1 and he's pretty good. I figure I'll have a good time either way. Thanks guys.
