Rare Philippino landrace

I have a couple of these beans going now that were gifted to me prolly a year or more ago. I can't find any info on anything from the Philippines. They are very vigorous sativas w/ very tight node spacing. They're only a few weeks old now. Does anyone out there have any info. I'm not coming up with much. :chin:

Cy,
If those are from red, they were from the Phillipines but are actually a Thai landrace that has been grown in the Phillipines since the late 60s.

Yeah man, I've spoken with red at length about it. The beans I received were gifted to rolanterroy. Not sure what became of them but I know he was growing them out and he confirmed that they most definitely looked like thai gens.

While serving in the military yrs ago I was staitoned in the phillipines and smoked the ugliest bricked brown stuff I have ever seen. The good thing was after a few hit it would send you into a stupor for hours as we wondered all the bars (Olongapo baby!!!)-Good times man!!!! The weed was grown out in the jungles and then sold to the servicemen at the bases. I still have about 15 seeds from my two years there. Was gonna give them to my uncle who was in Viet. who taught me how to grow but, unfortunately he had a stroke and isn't capable any longer. Now the beans have followed me around for almost 12 years sittin in my freezer. Just don't have the heart to look at em. Maybe this yr I will finally do something with them. Just not into long flowering genetics but these may be worth it.

when i was 14 i use to live in phillippines manila in the city there was alot of talk about the legendary bagyo gold philippino sativa which is told to be found in the northern bagyo island.. I aslo find my experienced with filipino weed so sativa-ish its like soaring with uncontrolable behavior and slight visual hallucinations.. more energy should be put into checkin out filipino genetics, unless your a kush head :)

From Redbeard, Cybrotherman:

the strain was brought here from thailand by visting GIs from thailand. its been around since the 60s but is totally unknown ? so i really cant help there but they do the biz here from seed which most use. its a long time though 6 months to wait for the locals . yeld is pretty good but not when you think of how long you have to wait. wouldnt compare with say reefermans strains this is old world and totally unknown . might be into getting some seeds if anyones into saving old MJ genetics ! take care
