OK I often have a question about this or that, that does not easily fit into a neat convenient category or even if it does, I'd be starting crazy numbers of threads to ask every little question I have at that time! So here we go, a thread for one time questions yours mine and everyones! let's get this started:

1). I just downloaded Tor, and it is not like anything I remember from long ago, so complex or slow or both! Am I really using tor or is this some kind of illusionary thing?

2). I just got a new pc, and Windows 7 takes some getting used to when you are used to XP service pack 2 or 3. I am using wireless at the moment which is slow (maybe why I don't notice a slow down when using tor). How do I configure it to work with a wired connection? as it stands now, it only recognizes the wireless and I get a wheel spinning off into infinity and nothing else happens when I attempt the wire connection

3) I need help posting pics safely, what programs to use or whatever else I need besides tor to remain as anonymous and untracked as possible. I also need help taking pics. When I try, the pics often get washed out by bright light or are too dim when I make adjustments. I can't get those really close shots like some I see. help!

4). I have been using an air cooled light in a tent for some time with no problems. the tent is shut down and won't need to use it for a few weeks, but... all of a sudden, the bulb rattles around something wicked and bangs against the air cooled tube so hard I fear it will break. what happened and how do I correct it?

5). I have started using a brand new growbright ballast, and it works fine, but it is so noisy it almost sounds like a muffled alarm or something, far louder than any ballast I have used before. what do I do?

every photo has a bunch of additional info stored within itself. like camera model, settings, time or even GPS location.
use a tool like quickfix or exifclean to remove this data before posting.

I guess I have Tor, but I have to hunt for it in my downloads section and then click it and I get a Tor Browser. I was under the impression I'd have an icon in firefox and be able to turn it on and off easily that way. How do I access it in firefox?

ok got some more questions, which I will start threads for eventually if that would get me a stronger response:

1). inactive seedbay vendors, are they just dormant or are they dead or are they still around but not at seedbay anymore? You know, all those companies who have had zero items listed for some time. Fritillary I think is out of the business, what about: Buddha, Cannacopia, ace, cannabiogen, crazy x, hfh, hortilab etc etc etc?

2). best commercial seed strain? just out of curiosity for anyone hypothetically interested in that kind of thing! And I mean by that best all around strain more from the growers perspective than the users, but both are important of course. Best all around combo of (relative) earliness and yield, with best calyx to leaf ratio and of course strength, pleasantness of effect, taste and smell?
something that can compete strongly in a competitive market and be interesting or fill a niche and still be practical to grow in quantity?

3). Are we doomed to cannabis genetic bottlenecking or there room/a niche for variety? Do some of the old time strains still have value? Do people still appreciate new strains not of the same old same old or clone only hybrids? Before there was a period when all strains seemed a combo of nl, skunk, or haze and to a lesser extent afghani. Now, all these selfed or fem strains and to a lesser extent reg strains, of hybrids of og or bubba kush, trainwreck, chem, diesel, and maybe one or 2 others I am forgetting. Meanwhile there are probably thousands of strains most of which are doomed to extinction at this rate. And why do seed companies not have a backup plan? Any strain, but especially those that have proved themselves, should ever become extinct in seed form. Parental stock at a friends place not affiliated with the business is just one option of many, in case of a shutdown or personal spats leading to a fragmenting of the company. Shiskaberry and blockhead come to mind, and Bro Grimm stuff, and so on.

4). I am sure there are diabetic cannabis consumers, are there edibles with them in mind that use say stevia instead of sugar, or offer healthier edibles than truffles or soda or such?

5). my new pc somehow converted all my works files ( a more primitive version of excel) into adobe files on my external drive, and now cannot read them. How do I get them back and how do I access works files now? I would think excel would convert them but did not remember that as an option.

are cannabis sprouts edible? Due to hermie issues, I have hundreds if not thousands of seeds and would like to put them to some use.

eating sprouted seeds = microgreens, havent tried it with canna but used fresh seeds in meals and they were delicious, i remember covering a crappy pizza with seeds trim and cheese, the seeds gave of the most amazing nutty taste.

ok well speaking of hermies, thought there was none this time but found at least a couple flowers and several plants with suspected flowers. I found only 1 possible opened flower, but don't think it was actually opened yet just ready too. On several plants, I found little round sacs or protusions, not the banana shaped hermie flowers but round balls and in some cases clusters of them down closer to the stem and away from the hairs. Can these just be calyxes (as I think they are called) or are these the beginnings of seeds forming (some have hairs coming out of them but more are just round green things)?

The simplest edibles I've made are cannabis capsules. All you really need is bud and coconut oil. Tinctures are awesome too, although they're more drinkable than edible. All you need for those are bud and Everclear.

I'm good with all the technical type questions. They're easy to figure out or look up online. The question I have is why do people with the least experience tend to be the most confident in their opinions? The guys with one harvest seem more sure of themselves than the guys with 20 or 30 harvests.

I don't know which product you mentioned, but canna pills are awesome. You don't need any specific product. Cook and stir finely ground bud powder, coconut oil, and a filler like corn starch (optional) until it's the consistency of a paste. Use this to fill gelatin capsules. Eat one and get high 2 or 3 hours later. They're awesome. You just have to keep them refrigerated afterwards so they don't go bad.

Yeah... they're actually better if you use olive oil and oat flour. I don't sell anything, the link I had up there was to my tutorial on making Canna Pills. I can link to other sites but not my own unless I pay advertising. Paying advertising for a site that doesn't make money is stupid, especially when the intention is to educate and not generate income. Anyway...

Coconut oil is best for the O blood type but no others. I'm "A" and it gives myself and others a slippery bum when we use it daily.

Oat flour is highly digestible by all blood types except the non-secretor "O" blood types. (This is news to me... used to be listed as neutral for all types)

Corn Starch is digestible by the non-secretors with the "A" blood type. That's it.
(See? Mods won't delete those links 'cause I don't own the sites. How lame, eh? lol)
