FYI they do it on domestic flights so don't try to hide anything in a checked bag. I was surprised to get home and find my bag has been searched and left a card NTA. Peace sdd420

For the longest time it seemed like every time I flew, I'd get one of those "hey FYI we ransacked your shit" cards in my luggage. Last few times, I was actually surprised to see they hadn't. And there I was thinking maybe the backed off on it a little bit. Not that I would put anything incriminating in my luggage anyways.

Those body scanners that they have now are pretty damn thorough too. First time I ever encountered one, I'd thought I'd emptied my pockets, walked through the scanner, the damn thing hit on something in my pocket. So naturally I get the full frisk, for them to find that when I'd opened a pack of cigarettes, I'd stuffed the small pieces of balled up cellophane and foil in my pocket.

That's how sensitive they are.

All up in your bizz.

You dont have to go through the scanner, they treat you weird and you get a pat down but it clogs the system and I wont be getting in there. They wont even let a third party measure the emitted radiation.

I have never had my checked luggage searched, and I attribute that to having the bags wrapped in that protective plastic they sell at most airports.
If they want to go into a wrapped bag, they have to cut off the plastic wrap and then re-wrap it, so I guess they just don't bother. It costs about $15 to wrap a normal sized bag, and protects the bag from getting scuffed up too. Wrap that rascal.

I fly about 5 times a year. I always put a few buds in my pollen press, press it good, and wrap it in plastic and stick in in my toiletry bag. Sometimes I get the search letter but they never took my stash. I used to put it in my wallet but the scanners find it. I really don't think they are looking for 2 to 3 grams of very compressed bud or even care about those small amounts. I've had the super search before too when it was in my laptop bag and I got through ok.

I know flying domestic in Canada I had a half oz of stinky buds in my carry-on. Since I was flying home I figured I would NOT declare I was a legal user and find out what happens....

Apparently nothing....xrayed it...lady sent it through a few times....then waved me on..

recently got the luggage was searched card on a flight back from hawaii.. had a clean glass bowl in the checked bag and it was left alone, but yah it was clean.

I had no problem bringing about 10 pre-rolled joints, a dozen cookies, and about an 1/8th of ground up bud in my backpack carry-on from cali to hawaii and back. I had my med rec tucked in the bag with it just in case but it went through the xray and out no questions asked. Just had snack bags and some other food in my backpack, made sure there were no electronics, liquids, or anything that might have them take a second look!
