Random Employmet drug testing

So Im applying for a new job. It's everything i want in a job, only 1 problem. When i was filling out the application I noticed the dreaded drug testing. It said the usual drug free work place bs and that they conduct random drug testing, and drug tests post accidents . Not that I burn anywhere near what i used to , but still do daily . Whats the odds of a random drug test? Its a brand hotel. ALso said that they test post accidents! So if i Fall , or cut myself they are going to test me? ANy advice? Think maybe just get a dried urine kit and keep it in my glove box or work locker?

I know one guy who carries the wizzinator and dried piss in his lunch box every day....another fella has his girl piss in a bottle and carries it in his cooler...he has her give him new pee every few days....what a hassle!....I work only in go nowhere jobs that dont test...

Years ago, I got a DUI and was mandated to attend drug recovery classes, while I had a full grown "White Rhino" in my closet; UAs were random, but toward the end of the program, they become frequent. I was UAed at least 3 times, because my eyes were always red. I never got busted because I kept my urine dilute. So, the trick is to drink plenty of H2O.

I said it before and stand by it: all Politicians and Federal employees should be drug tested just like the rest of us peons. That goes for any elected official.They passed the laws but don't have to worry about them like we do. What about the person that is on pain meds for a medical condition? And yes,if you get hurt or have an accident on the job,thats the first thing they will do. It's un-constitiutional and an invasion of privacy.

Sucks ! This pretty close to my dream job, but the random drug testing , ehhh. I dont plan on going in stoned either. Wtf, i could not smoke for 3 weeks, fall at work , get tested , test positive and get fired for smoking 3 weeks prior. Fuck it , gonna roll the dice. Will take the job if i get it and just keep one of the dehydrated urine/hotpack/test tube deals in my locker at work or in my truck i guess. This job is too good to pass up. I have worked at drug free places before, but they never followed through with any tests.

i've signed that stupid paper tons of times, never once did i get randomly tested pre-employment: sure. worker's comp claim: you bet your ass they'll test you. random: highly doubtful.

Keep an eye on other employees to if they fuck up you might get tested to, I have seen that happen alot. Why dont you just stop for a while if its your dream job why roll the dice on something like that. Good jobs are hard to come by these days.

scratch what i said, i remember ONCE a company i worked for got "randomly tested" (even though everyone knew about it the day before) because one of the employees got caught smoking on his break...

they didn't test EVERY employee, just the first 10 they got to (out of like 30 that were working that day) a buddy of mine hid in the freezer/refrigerator for most of his shift haha... what was cool about that situation, was that the nondrug-users helped us all out by "volunteering" to take the test, so that was nice.

i hope some of that made sense...

I personall like the number 1 over the wizzanator. Both same company. They got busted but tons of clones filled their place. I've had 5 drug tests in 5 years. Same job passed all of em.

Get the urinator almost the same as the whizzanator except no fake penis and it keeps the urine at the right temp. for 4 hrs.

my employer tests 25% of the work force each quarter. I've been tested three or four times in the past two years. I use the urineluck synthetic urine, attached to a custom made knee/thigh wrap I wear at all times. It totally sucks (esp. summer months) but it works and I don't work 9-5 / M-F. It was cheap ($35) and...so far so good.

That's what pisses me off! Blow coke and its quickly flushed through.Or i could drink all night and be hungover and that's ok. What I do in my free time is my business . I do not plan on even smoking prior to work,as this is going to be a demanding job. I used to have a bad problem with alcohol, dui , wreckless , etc. I gave up heavy drinking for fishing and smoking , both much less harmful and less criminal troubles for me.

In most jobs, the warning of "random drug tests" is itself the deterrent and not something that they actually do. It costs them money to test you, and they will only do it if they have a reason to. I.e., somebody told your manager you're hopped up on meth, or it's very obvious that you have a problem, like you're coming in unkempt, sluggish, and smelling like booze and a fresh Dutch.

Also, when they do test you, some employers won't care if they find pot in your system, at least in moderate levels, but this depends on the job and employer. Jobs where you being on drugs is a serious public hazard are likely to test more often.

I prefer working for myself... they're the best jobs I've ever had. Drug testing is for purity of product only.

Already all over it. Im days away from getting my caregiver card. Also starting a small business selling gourmet mushrooms to restaurants.
