Lakers owner Jerry Buss died on Monday at age 80 after a long battle with cancer.
The Lakers won 10 championships after Buss purchased the team in 1979, and the WNBA's L.A. Sparks (which he also owned) also won two championships. His son Jim Buss still controls the team's basketball operations and his daughter Jeanie is heavily involved in the team's business decisions. L.A. will return to action on Wednesday with heavy hearts.
