R.i.P. Howard Zinn

Howard Zinn (August 24, 1922 – January 27, 2010) was an American historian and professor emeritus in the Political Science Department at Boston University. He was the author of more than 20 books, including A People's History of the United States (1980).

Zinn was active in the civil rights, civil liberties and anti-war movements in the United States, and wrote extensively on all three subjects.

This is sad to hear. His work is timeless and will live on. if you haven't read his People's History to the United States you are missing out. R.I.P.

I used Zinn in almost all of my history research papers.
what a sad day indeed.

WHAT???????

....how was this not a huge story? how did i not see? i wont dwell on the difference between zinn and a "celebrity".... the world has lost an incredible human! when a person can put a pen to paper and impact lives the way he has done w words, you know that is a special person indeed.....a very sad time.....
