Acquiring ISO in bulk from your local hydroponic store is a far more cost effective way to get your ISO. Buying it 5 gallons at a time is really the only way to go. Don't think the local pharmacy won't remember the guy, (or gal) that cleans out their stock of 500 ml bottles of ISO. The average is about 90.00 for 5 gallons from a hydro store. Unless the store is under surveillance, it is also more discreet.

thats true oilmeister but alot of people dont need 5 gallons of ISO lol. And i really dont think the people at ur local pharmacy are gonna remember , or give a shit , if you buy a few bottles of ISO , thats what they are there for.

heres some oil i made from about a gram of trim and some kief/plant material from my grinder(the screen on my grinder is not fine enough). I washed it for about 20 seconds.

was thinking about buddering it up but was too lazy, i just kept it in a nice amber brick

great thread schmike, here's my first attemp at Qwiso made from vaporized bud, 20 sec wash with 99% ISO. Burns nice and taste no chemicals, hardened up real fast..

Hello everyone! I just finished my first QWISO run with some trim off of a JLP's Sour Diesel IBLxOG Kush BX1 girl. I'd say it was about an 8th of trim and nicely resinous. I used CVS brand 91% isopropyl alc. I did a 15 second wash then used a metal strainer followed by the coffee filter filtering. I purged by setting it on a heat pad (which wasn't really hot, only around 87 degrees) for about 24 hours. I am amazed at how good it turned out thanks Shmike! Now for some pics.

ready to make some qwiso today! show me how! ilooked at the instructions and they are a little vague. I understand the process..but it seems like its incomplete. How much bud/alcohol ratio?? lets say i wanna use a 1/4 ounce of some dry BUDS~!?? how much alcohol do i need?
In the directions you seem to use about an 1/8th of weed and half a cup of alcohol...but im only guessing can you elaborate please??? i have bubble hash, and keif i wanna make some kind of buddur or jelly...can someone show me what to do?

i see in your tutorial you only use like an 8th of buds and about half a cup of alcohol...can you give me a bud to alcohol ratio to use?? or is this all eye ball?? make sure to cover buds with alcohol 1/4" above the surface of the buds and make sure they are not immersed for more than how long?

I don't really have an alcohol/.OZ ratio laid out, but even an ounce for me usually doesn't take any more than a liter of alcohol to wash.

Just make sure you have enough alcohol to cover it all, and keep your material exposed to the alcohol for no longer than 30 seconds.

When it comes to the wash, and how long you have your weed in the alcohol, the shorter the better. So a 10-20 second wash would be better than a 30 second wash. You've just gotta be quick, get everything laid out so as soon as you've finished your wash you can immediately strain and filter your weed out of the alcohol.

ok im on the 15 minute cook/purge...this is my first time i used an 8th of bud!

it actually took 25-30 minutes because it was 70% iso and i had it on a lower heat ...towards the end i raised the heat and now that i know where i can leave the temp at my next rounds will be better!!!!!!

I rewrote those parts in the tutorial, and came up with 50ml/g as a rough ratio for alcohol/weed.

Wow..i only used 3 grams , and for a first timer i think i did pretty good!! i used a pyrex dish, 70% iso and double boiler style and medium heat on my stove! lol i had all my windows open of course and i had multiple fans circulating. Heres what i got using shmikes method! i must admit i was skeptical...but i was bored and haad some extra buds from my recent harvest lol. Now that i know this process i admit im kinda interested( i can see why hash masta kut is so addicted! shit knocks you on your ass) i will experiment with different methods( and strains)...i want to eventually whip up sum buddur and make some concoction mixing keif n bubble hash with oil to make some wicked jellie mixtures~

Get bigger jars, LOL. I use big pickle jars for large washes. Or you can just do a bunch of 1 ounce washes and fill jars up with washed/strained/filtered alcohol and save them in the freezer until you can purge it all.
