Yeah man I bought them all locally. There are 4 headshops in town now, so it's fun to hit them up on the weekends looking for the perfect new piece. I also hit up EDIT.com every now and then for a box of papers, glass screens, filter tips and whatever else catches my eye. Can you guess what my favorite papers are lately, hehehe...dbuzz said:

I wash them after every use, and I don't mean just a hot water rinse. I clean them with Iso and coarse salt until they're back to new, after EVERY use. It's a big pet peeve of mine, I can't smoke out of other people's piece's because of it. Even if a piece has that little film of tar in it after one bowl I will not smoke out of it. So I usually carry a clean pipe with me at all times if I'm not at home.

You should rise with vinager after cleaning with salt. Vinager disolves any calcium(salt) and hard water spots. Salt can still be left over even with iso. It collects over time and gets harder to get out over time.

Nope not for me, I just rinse with hot water after the Iso/Salt wash and everything stays sparkling clean. I've never had a problem with salt or calcium building up, the water around here is very soft. Thanks for the vinager tip though Gringo that's wicked mang!

I don't go through too many, I'll go through one in a month. I find the trick is to never get them red hot, once you cook them they start to fall apart. I just dab the oil with my lighter just enough untill it's all gone, and I wash them with swabs of iso when they get all gummed up. Once they start falling apart I just throw them away.
I think the problem is that you can taste the metal or something like that, that's why some resort to glass screens. They sell them for smoking with so I don't see them being that harmful. But I usually avoid getting them red hot, they just don't last as long. Ya know I never really thought about it that way, I just assumed with stainless there was nothing to worry about.

Loved it lots of fun, we and Master Thai just couldnt stop making one after another to much fun

Master used some org. Love Potion # 1, g-13 pheno heavy on the lemon side.

Master tried this at a very low heat.
took a little longer, than purging but the same results.
Higher heat resulted in a weak product and returns.

I've used the methods found here to make QWISO twice now. First time was with fresh trim from one ICE plant, made maybe 1/2 gram of oil. Phenomenal fruity/fresh/floral taste, lots of lemon, and a urinal cake/cheap air freshener taste on the exhale. Last night I made a batch from a little more than 1/2 oz of moldy-tasting schwag that my best friend had laying around. I filtered it several times, got about 1 gram of oil. Taste is like what I remember weed smelling like when my older brothers used to smoke around me.
I use an electric griddle to heat my dish, use a 9x9 pyrex casserole. I use 91% ISO, that's what wally had. I rinse for a max of 30 seconds, then strain and filter before purging.
My friends were utterly wiped by the first batch, glad they were already home, because they were just sitting there drooling, in no shape to travel! It tastes soooo good, you just wanna keep smoking, but that's usually a real bad idea. By the time you realize how high you are, you've probably already smoked too much. I've put myself down in a chair for 30 min or so, just staring at the radio. Enjoyed it immensely, and after the initial wave, I'm really motivated to get up and do stuff.
Just another bit of the puzzle that I've found here at IC. Some brilliant people here, with great ideas and techniques.

hey dude, in the pictures of your pipes, i have the one 3rd from the right and 2nd from the right too. i thought all red eye pieces were handblown....... maybe they are, but just the same style...
