QWISO VS tincture

Why when making green dragon should the mixture soak for days, weeks, hours etc. vs. a quick wash technique used in QWISO? Particularly if the green dragon is being made with a strong say 151 or higher alcohol solvent?
I'm sure someone has a good answer.

Posted this in the brewing section and didnt get too many answers. Hopefully not stepping on any ones toes, braking any rules by reposting here in the hope of some more replies.

what are you making it out of? plant material?

if your just doing plant material the traditional technique is to soak in highproof for a month.

you can easily speed this process up if you like with mild heat.

i make my batches of tincture in the course of a few hours.. using a round bottom flask for when i boil the alcohol. However i pull my tincture not from plant material but from concentrate.

Been using vaped scuff. Still why should QWISO , alcohol based solvent, work with a quick wash while using a similar strength alcohol based solvent require a much longer wash.

Ethanol 96% ( Everclear 190 proof ) washes out the most and the best of trix resin in 5 minutes.

Best way to go! Ready to drink as soon as you are done. Unfortunately not all states carry Everclear in that proof. Florida has a 151 proof max.

I think the basic concept is that yes you get more good stuff if you let it soak a longer period BUT...if your going to smoke it, the long soak is going to carry alot more chlorophyll which tastes like CRAP to smoke! Tinctures don't exactly taste great to begin with....it's about effect.

its about getting all you can out of the material, and sometimes traditionalists want the mix to mellow.

but yeah, a quick soak is for smokeables.

Isn't the essential ingredient that we are wanting in oral form the same that is gotten from a quick soak?

alot of people do two runs with there weed on qwiso, heres how it goes, you do a quick wash, because it dissolves mainly thc and the other cbd's, and then on the second run they shake vigorously, the point is, you just drink green dragon, it doesnt matter if it isnt the purest, qwiso is made so your smoking absolutely minimum for max high with the purer extract

95% everclear i would add an 1/8th (3.5g) of decent weed. the bottle was i think 250ml. 1 shot mixed with kool-aid or blue gatorade would really kick you in the ass. i had some that a friend saved for 6 months and well, it was too much.
ive made it about a dozen times and the longer you soak the stronger it seems to be. id let it sit miniumum a week, 2 weeks even stronger. then id filter it with a coffee filter. its still nasty but what can you do. alot of people on here seem to let it evap and make it even stronger (tincture?)

Unless you do your quick hash wash with ethanol ( which wouldnt technically be "qwiso") you probably shouldnt be drinking anything that passes through that plant material again(unless you let the Iso 101% dry out of the plant material). I have seen cane alcohol in mexico thats 96% alcohol that would work for that but I'm not down with drinking Iso
