I was blasted...give a guy a break. LOL
Well I did a late crop. Started after July 4, set out August 11. I let this small male go so I could cross with a grape punch female and a blueberryXmagic carpet female. He was a strong grower and heavy flower producer even in 100 degree days. His resin production wasn't anything out of the ordinary as far as I'm used to anyway. So after I plucked the flower pods I needed I pulled and dried him. I didn't really feel like smoking leaves, and since I never made QWISO before I decided to give it a go. I plucked off all the leaves and flowers. (not sure what I'll do with the flowers.) I took the leaves and put them in a medium size glass bowl, just covered them with 91% ISO and rinsed/stirred it for 90 seconds and strained thru a coffee filter into a second glass dish. I let it evap with no heat. It became very gummy at the end of the 3rd day. I then scraped it up and formed a ball about the size of a large pea. I then let it stand for another day before I "tested" it. It bubbled rapidly with the lighter. The smoke was very smooth, with a definite pungent hashy flavor, with a slight "green" taste (that i attribute to the wash being too long?). At any rate a couple small chunks is all that I needed to set me up nicely on the couch. needless to say it didn't make it thru the weekend. LOL Even tho the amount was very small it was a great learning experience and a definite thing to do again. Can't wait to try it with some popcorn bud and sugar leaf. YUM! Now I know what all the hype is about...EXTRACTS!
