Quick smartpot question. northeast

Hey guys. First year using smartpots. I am using 20 gallon ones. So far I love them but I have one plant that went out really early in May. She is a beast!!! Has to be watered heavily daily.. all the others went out mid-late june.

Anyway, I bought a 65 gallon smartpot to transplant her into. So my question is "Is it too late to benefit from a transplant now"

Here is a pic of her from about 10 days ago. Also including a couple of pics of this growing indoors. She was from a mixed seed pack from harburside.

Thanks ;-)

Transplanting out of a smart pot is difficult, you pretty much have to destroy the pot by cutting it off

I would carefully cut the bottom off and dig a hole and drop the pot in the ground. With the sides still on. She would go through a lot of shock trying to actually get her out of the pot at this point.

Lay some 1/4 inch mesh cloth under the pot if you do cut the bottom off though, in case you have gophers.

That bag seed looks amazing, hope u saved a cutting! What mixed pack did you get?

Hey sun. Not sure on the mixed pack. A buddy brought it to me. I only popped one bean so far and That's what she is. I've ran it twice indoors. Great yielder etc..

I don't mind at all cutting off the old 20 gallon pot as I doubt ill use them next year. Just not enough soil. Drys out way to fast. I already have a new 65 gallon pot to use. Just didn't want to seriously stunt her..

wow thats an amazing looking plant, those are some fat stems and buds!

gl with the transplant.

i would half fill the new pot.

have a mate lift the 20 gallon one so you can make a slit across the bottom. then place the pot in the new one on the laf full soil and finish the cut you started along the bottom by cutting up the sides, then you can work the 2 halfs of the pot off the root ball so you can finish filling in the new pot. you might well need 2 people to lift the 20 gal one enough so you can make the first slit. make sure not to cut much deeper then the pot material, if your fast you should be able to make the cut without having the root ball fall out through the slit while it's still in the air.

Here are a few pics of this strain from an earlier indoor run, just beastly I tell ya. 3 gallon pot, promix base. I use Botanicas line. Pro grow/bloom for soil. Liquid karma, cal-mag .. RO water as well, testing at 16ppm right now.. The outdoor water is testing at 78ppm ..

Really looking forward to how this beast performs under the big gig in the sky!

:woohoo:

Nice plants, props on the fat stems, they have to be to hold up those big buds, hope all goes well with the transplant, I wait till my soil is dried out a little, they are lighter and easier to work with.

Bada boom bada bing. She was so dry it was easier than all hell. Just used scissors and made two cuts down the side from top to bottom. Then just peeled it right off like a banana.

Roots looked great, just dry. I added some kelp meal, potash, & just a touch of blood meal. Watered with 20 gallons amended with Botanicares pro grow for soil and some Cal-Mag. Also did a folier feed with neem oil, liquid karma, cal-mag, and some of the pro-grow.

The beast shall be unleashed!

The Last pic is from 40 days ago. I'll probably update this a little on the way.
