Quick Refence Smoke Report Idea!!!

Hey guys,
was just thinking. So often I hear about such and such strain weed and wonder if it might be worth investing in, growing, etc.

What about the idea of having one main thread that people could contribute to on their own free will.

It would need to have cooperation from all members not to post useless stuff...A thread for PURE SMOKE REPORTS...no comments on them...

The top Initial post would be a encyclopedia of strains in alphabetical Order and easy to reference and find. It would look like this:
........................................................................................................
International Cannagraphic Smoke Report Guide

Hashberry:
Smoke Report 2 by XXXXXXXX
Strain B:
Smoke Report 1 by XXXXXXXX
Strain C:
Smoke Report 1 by XXXXXXXX
......................................................................................................

People would then have a form of what we would want out of a smoke report they could fill in as see fit and add additional comments as a reply.

I would then add that strain to the guide as they were posted and link from the inital 1st post to whichever post goes with that strain DIRECTLY...like this: This is my direct refernce idea...

People could comment as much or little as they want and we would get the input of all the members on strains that they have experienced and how they personally felt about it. They could also add SMOKABLE BUD pictures to add the the experience to see what it looks like once cut and cured so you can reference visual aspects of each strain as well.

I think it would be a quick reference that is needed and i thought a good idea. Maybe have a few people willing to assist in help of keeping it up to date if needed.

I was thinking a general outline for smoke reports would go as follows and people could just do a quick Cut and Paste.

**1-10 scale: 1 being worst, lowest, or harshest and 10 being top of the line**

~Strain Name~

-Lineage (if known):

-Odor/Flavor: 1-10 Additional Comments:

-Potency/High: 1-10 Additional Comments:

-Visual/Bag Appeal: 1-10 Additional Comments:

-THC Content: X% (leave blank if not known)

-Harshness: 1-10 Additional Comments:

-Resin Content: 1-10 Additional Comments:

Additional Comments:

Comments and additonal ideas on this idea are highly encouraged!!

I think that's a great idea. This forum really needs an index of smoke reports catorgarized by seed bank. I'm tired of using the search button to look for a smoke report on a certain strain and having it come up with a hole bunch of irrelavent posts. You should mention your idea to the forum administrator or something.

The problem I find is that people do not describe the plants enough.

Smells really fruity and very pungeant!

How about we start by getting the breeders to describe THEIR plants in more detail.

For example:
Breeder : RezDog
Flowering Time : 65-75 Days
Environment : Indoor/Outdoor
Seeds Per Pack : 10

Composed of the Chemdog D clone Sour Diesel IBL Seriously powerful genetics, combined

WTF does it taste like? WTF is the high like? Should a person have to spend hours digging through comments just because the breeder doesn't provide detailed description? Would anybody buy this plant if nobody posted about it? I am not picking on REZ, we all have our ways of doing things, but there are better ways. You would think breeders would get sick of the "what does it taste like?" and "what is the high like?" questions.

Mandala's has a nice way of listing their info.

SATORI
Type: sativa-indica
Contains land race genetics from: Nepal
Cultivation: indoor/outdoor
Flowering time: 65-70 days/October
Yield: 550-600 gr/m2 (dry weight)
High: a clear, cerebral high and strong potency sets in quickly; it supports concentration & creativity; very inspiring and stimulating. Ideal for writers, artists, musicians, or other creative people.
Potency: 9-10/10; long-lasting; no nervous side-effects (racy heart, etc.); suitable for regular med users.
Aroma: fruity-citrus, pungent.
Medical Use: Satori shows her therapeutic potential in relieving depression and anxiety; this strain can ease sleep disorders from auto-immune diseases and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS).

SATORI

This season we are introducing our new Satori. We have refined this strain genetically to produce an even more reliable and powerful cross that will delight your connoisseur heart. Satori is an exceptionally easy to grow sativa. She has shown impressive hardiness against spider mites and other pests, and she possesses a good measure of mold resistance. Her slim appearance makes it possible to plant in narrow rows, or in SOG, to maximize her typical record yields even more. The firm side shoots provide highest quality cuttings. As with all our sativas she is heat resistant - an added bonus for small indoor environments and hot summer grows. The mainly sweet & fruity-spicy aroma is a real treat for the senses. Satori grows a long head bud with chunky flowers and does not require much feeding on soil; you can almost do without feeding provided you use quality soil and sufficient pot size (approx. 2 gallon pots for adult plants under 250-600W lamps). Keep EC levels low in hydroponics for best results. All Mandala strains are extremely efficient in nutrient uptake due to their hybrid vigor and require only low EC levels/feeding to develop huge leaf, stem and bud structure. Satori is a high yielding, powerful plant with an exceptional sativa high. The heavy buds are easy to manicure, and from the resinous bud leaves you can produce finest grade hash, comparable in quality to the famous Nepalese “temple balls”.
