quick question...

This weekend I put a DWC 20 quart rubbermaid bin in my 8 foot wide 2 1/2 feet deep and 8 foot high grow closet with those crappy sliding doors and would you believe the humidity is hitting 70%! I have supplemented the setup with an ionizer in front of the door. I keep both doors open about a foot all day with that ionizer sucking air out and the fan in there on max and truthfully it only brings down the humidity to 50% at best. Recently i lost a whole new set of seedlings because of mold and damping off and although my kids in there are semi mold resistant i have had to cut off bits and pieces here and there. Not good. Besides trying to get a dehumidifier which i cant afford right now ..$120+... what can i do. I dont wanna cut a hole in the ceiling because my old mang is letting me grow and not hassling me but im sure once i start making holes or putting a loud exhaust fan in there he is not going to like it and possibly have a change of heart. Is there another solution for me friends or should i just wait a month and get that dehumidifier.

I'd appreciate any advice. :D

Can you raise temps? If you have a few extra degrees you can spare without getting too high, that might bring down humidity.
