Quick Question about Digital Ballasts

Hey guys,
Quick question:

Would a 600w digital ballast be ok to set on regular house carpet? I have two and in my last place I had them sitting on wood, but here they are on carpet (unless i get some wood to set them on).

Curious if there would be any issue.

Get a couple paver bricks and set them up on those. Probably your safest bet. Digi's still get warm, but not as warm.

id go with the wood, its the safe bet, you cant predict conditions under a ballast, with little fibers everywhere, might get a heatpocket and start melting some....good question, i hope others arnt putting them on carpet.
hanging them on the wall is usualy conveniant.

i wouldnt want it on carpet. set something non flammable underneath it at best.

good ideas. I'll just not be lazy and do it. lol. Take me like 5 minutes to find some things to use. I'm baked now tho so.. maybe tomorrow.
