how quick are we talking?? ive never noticed weed drying quicker vs slower, affecting taste.
as for suggestions on how to dry quickly:
if you have a t-5 rack id leave it on the top of that while its on and maybe hit it with a little fan.
or if you have an external ballast for you light(s), id grab a piece of notebook paper on top of that while its on and place the nug on the paper.
both those should give you a small sample within a day or two.
Um .... If ya want to just get high ya can pop in the microwave. Wrap it in a paper towel and every 5 seconds take it out and blow though the paper towel get the heat and moisture out of the nug then stick it back in another 5 sec then repeat over and over till the bud is dry enough to smoke .. A warning. Any thing dried shorter then a week will have noticeable chlorophyll and will taste green. I hope this helps.
You get loose nugs through these main factors.
Strain has the most to do with it, some just don't get real dense.
High Heat and low humidity causes airy loose buds.
Low light levels. 50W/m^2 is the minimum I would shoot for.
Humidity is like 40% after I water the three, then it takes about 3-4 days to dry up, causing an average RH of 30 give or take a few
heat is no issue, average temp with lights on is like 78 ish, then it drops to about 61 at night. I use a 1kw air cooled hood. Where could I improve and how with minimal issues?
Thanks again, They have like 2-3 weeks left till chop, I WILL get pictures guys, there pretty amazing. also It was a clone purchased locally, its call trainwreck, or possibly pineapple express, who knows, but I will buy seeds for the next run.
I wouldn't worry about it yet if you still have 3 weeks left till chop.
