can the iso be purged from the butter since th ematerial has iso in it thats the only question i would have,,, if so why not but not sure how potent it would be since its already been thru the iso wash,,,,,peace
Yuck.
heck... I won't use iso for any 'internal' use anyway. Not gonna be much left in that anyway. Now, if you use ethanol next time... you can definitely make a weak butter out of it.

After extracting with Isopropanol It's most unlikely that there is much THC left, worth to cook butter from. I also recommend to extract with Petrolether, cause Isopropanol also dissolves the chlorophyll and Petrolether its more suitable to dissolve THC. Something more. I'm from Germany and I can get here in the pharmacies clean Petrol Ether. It's for cleaning wounds and it's absolutely undefiled. Don't buy your stuff at the tools market or the gas station!!
In the U.$.A. there's a product called "EverClear" which is available up to 95% ethanol 5% water. (depending on what state you live in.)
Petrol Ether? Ouch... probably one of the least bothering petroleum distillates for me, but still from petrol.
Anyone know of plans for a 15 gallon reflux still that will turn out 95% pure ethanol? Sugar, turbo yeast, water and a bucket are pretty cheap. 12 gallons of water + 17lbs of sugar and some turbo yeast will net you almost 2 gallons of 95% ethanol, after distilling.
Hrmmm... Maybe a 5 gallon sized. Most folks don't need more than a half gallon of ethanol at harvest time.

Yipp! It's the least bothering petroleum distillate. I used it the first time when I was 16. I'm nearly 50 now and still alive and I did it many many times. ;-) I guess in any toke of a cigarette is more benzol than in the stuff I made with clean petrolether. If you still smoke instead of vaporizing, I would be more concerned about the smoke, especially if you still smoke cancersticks.
I also used 96% Ethanol to make oil, but I consider the results with petrolether much better. And Ethanol also here is pretty expansive due to taxes. And fermentation of sugersolution with turbo-yeast I tried. (for another purpose lol) With bad results. I never got a clean taste. It was no prob to do the fermentation, but a clean destillation I found rather difficult.
