questions regarding Co2 regulators

Hello!
i just bought one co2 regulator it has a flowmeter and a solenoid. (will use bottled co2)
My problem is my manual is in a language i dont understand hehe.

So, let me explain my setup a little bit, I have a 2x2x2meter growspace. I want to add another 1200ppm of CO2 to my room.

What kind of settings should i use, and i guess i should get a timer aswell, so how should the timer be setup to achieve this? unfortuneltly i dont have any monitor/controller.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of co2 equipment and can explain it for me it would be great since i have no experience with this kind of equipment.

Thanks alot for a quick reply.

Lemme bump this back up for you,I use a generator but I think sandman is knowledgable about co2 regulators and such. There is a pretty simple formula,I just dont know what it is.If you could afford a cap PPM3 for 5 bills it'll take care of everything, set it and forget it.

If you run the flow meter at 1 CFH, it'll take right at 15 minutes to fill (handy if you can only get 15 minute timers). 2 CFH will take 7.78 minutes to charge the grow area.

I assume this is going to be for a sealed room with no in/out of the air? If it's not, you're gonna need to invest in a controller so that the air gets recharged after every venting.

sandman! thumbs up to you for trying to explain it too me,
my gauge goes from 0-25
and my flowmeter goes from 1-20
Im not sure the flowmeter shows CFH :S anyways, maybe you know? ill try get a pic up on it so you can have a better look. Cheers mate

Hello again, So i had another look at the regulator and i found out that the gauge was in mpA which i managed to convert in to PSI , but now for the tricky part, The flowmeter is showing L/Min from a range of 1-25 What should i set that one on and how long should i then run the timer for ever hour?

thanks alot in advance for the quick reply :)

Peace

To me it seems like 2 CFH would be a good rate...so to get that:

Divide 2 by 60 (to get CF per minute) = .033 CFM
.033 CFM = .93L

So set it to 1 L/Min and let it run 7 minutes and you'll be good.

All conversions from http://www.onlineconversion.com so don't blame me if the math is off :D

I run mine when the lights kick on then every 2 hours it recharges the CO2 - but that's a sealed room, so you might wanna get a way to measure the CO2 levels to see how often you'll need to charge it as I have a fairly large "buffer" of unused space in the sealed area...you might need to charge it every hour or more often if the grow area is full of plant material. You can get a syringe style CO2 level checker for around $25 at most hydro stores...every test is like $5, but it'll get you close enough until you can get a "real" CO2 meter to tweak it better.
