Questions For The Hash Experts

I have never tried making hash before.

Well, thats a lie.. my very first grow in '98 i tried making hash oil with bacardi 151 and a coffee filter and failed miserbaly.

Since then i have thrown out pounds of leaves, never giveing much thought to it, but i'm thinking of trying now.

Does anyone know how much hash i can expect from maybe 2 ounces of fan leaves and trim?

You think it works? IS it worth a shot with such a small quantity of trim?

Thats a bit of work for 2Oz's of Leaf.
You can dry sieve with a Nylon or Copper Coffee filter. Just put a few pennies in cover with a top from a Margerine Tub,and shake.

2 Oz's wont make much.. using just fans. but it will work ok.
You'll know when your done as the hash gets so much Veggy matter it turns brown quickly.

Save your leaf until you get a nice amount or just use the traditional water hash method Sadu Sam's water extraction method. Just get a jar, water, ice and a spoon strainer and a coffee filter. Try it out!!!

The method is okay for bulking but i have found it to be too messy and too much hassle to do for smaller amounts. The best way i found for amounts less than a 4-5 Oz is to use a simple home made BHO unit or to make bhang. Technically bhang is not hash but it's a lot easier than using the ice method for small amounts.

Unless you can see visible trichomes on those fan leaves don't use them. You can expect from 1% yield from crappy trim to 15% yield using buds. So somewhere inbetween there is your answer for possible yields.

make a good investment and just buy some bubblebags...they are kinda spendy and there are cheaper ways but bubblebags are bomb and pay for themselves after a run or two.

use bho it will give you the highest yield and will be the least hassle

With great sugar leaf, I can get 7-8 grams of bubble from 4-5 zips of leaf.
