questions about sm-90

hello everyone , i had gotten root rot in a few dwc buckets and was recommended to get sm-90 . this very very quickly got the problem taken care of .

i have a question for anyone out there who hs used this stuff from the beginning, im thinking that if i can kill root rot and save my plants . then if i use it from the start it might prevent it all together .

i know i should find what caused the root rot and attack there vrs use something to prevent it . but i know what gave me root rot , it was high bucket temps . and a contamination from a bucket that a friend used to clean his fish tank and never told me .


so im thinking colder temps in my buckets , and sm-90 at every water change ??? what ya think

DWC is prone to root rot because the roots are sitting in the water all the time. SM90 is a great product to "cure" root rot, however, there are better things that you can use to help prevent, for example you can use (Super Oxygen + hydrozyme or hygrozyme + your normal nutes) another mix could be (Super Oxy + Hydroguard + your normal nutes). The zyme will break down the dead material from the roots and will allow the plants to use them as useful nutes. Find a hydro store that is local to you and speak with them, they will be able to help you with a great mix also, just make sure you talk about tomato plants and not MJ.

I know there are several "zyme" products that you cannot use with Super Ox but I'm not sure which ones they are......the one I use (Cannazyme) cannot be used with H202.

I used it last night foliar spray, in Veg room for spider mites on various plants, it was recommended by hydro store. Good luck, grow well and stay safe.

the local grow store are kinda slow i think , they wasent sure what sm-80 was for and dident know a way to prevent root rot . they said all they have for roots is bbbbb-cusss root stimulator. so i went there . they have a few things , i saw flora shield i think it was called , also they had the sm-90 that i already have, and that was about it .
i dident look for the things that you guys and gals listed because i hadent seen the posts yet , but i will call them tomarrow and see if they have any of the things listed .
any one have a tryed and true method , i use GH nutes and just want a simple way to prevent any root rot .

sm90 is great for roots in dwc,i use it on mothers, and mid flower,,,,,make sure to flush it out good.=) word

Advanced Nutrients Sensizyme works well to help prevent and kill off dead root matter that contributes to root rot as well, sm 90 works pretty quickly too.

Just use as directed on the bottle.
