questions about modern strains outdoors

Been out of he game for awhile. Living in the Far East of the mid west, we get a lot of rain. Looking for people with experience growing modern Cali climate strains in mid west to north east conditions. Planting is from Memorial Day to mid October.

Lot's of cookies, og, chem going in in domestic seed-banks. I am worried that cookie crosses won't the handle the climate. Seems everyone is rolling out seeds for pecan sandies this or snicker doodles that. The thought currently is that fem seeds do well outdoors, not so great indoors. Regs for the controlled climate.

Just trying to stay up on the game while sitting the bench. So who's been growing the fancy new Cali strains outdoor? Same Lat as humbodlt but with average 50" more rain yearly and hard freezes. The area isn't going to handle strains that go to Halloween. Not that September harvest is required.

Thanks

I had my worries when Colorado passed amendment 64 and grew outside, my first run I had a mix of hybrid as well as some near full on sativa's, the OG/Chem stuff came out 5 stars outside I was blown away OG/Chem/Afghan genetics have had great resistance to mold, humidity and short season for me...

We (Colorado) are a bit S of Humboldt.
However, our season seems to be similar to yours... early to mid May-Oct.

My plants typically trigger flowering around 14/10 day/night and I would assume most hybrid plants grown outdoors would react about the same. However I've had a few plants that didn't trigger until mid September at about 13-12.5/11-11.5. These plants really make me nervous near end of the season. HA! I've gotten lucky the last 3 to 5 years with indian summers though.

To sum it up...
Pay attention to a particular plants trigger time as well as the plants flower time.
Outdoor, Canadian breed seed seems to trigger faster than seeds breed indoors under 12/12.

Check out ChunkyPigs OGKB 2.0 thread. The last 5 pages have cookies and OG outdoors in the northeast. They look insane.
