Question on vegging and flowering times - please advice

Hi

I planted my 4 weeks clones on November 10 (5 weeks ago). Planning to switch to flowering on January10. That gives me a total of 10 weeks vegging period, and make my plants 12 weeks old.
Do you think this is enough vegging time for OG Kush? They are about 20 inches now.

I did super cropped them 2 weeks ago and want to top them tonight. Will it continue developingcolas after I flip to 12/12? Did theyhave enough heal time from the time I cropped them until another HST I plan todo tonight.
Please let me know what you think.

Thanks

I havent grown any kush. But for what I do know is that it´s very specifik for each plant for how they grow and develop

For my Northern Lights the vegging was kind off slow and when I switched to 12/12 it kind of exploded.

What I can tell though is the longer you vegg the bigger it will be, so It kind off up to you how long you vegg it. If space isnt the issue and neither Time I guess the longer vegg the bigger yield. Of course at some point it will level out

I don't know.. It's seems that more and more people vegg for a few weeks and then flower.
Right now my Kush is under the net and takes about 60 percent of the tent. Giving the fact it has to flower and grow more for another 9 weeks, I possibly can run out of space.

The reason for vegging a short period of time is
1. Makes the plant smaler
2. Makes seed-->finished bud faster.

I would deffenetly switch now if I was you.

After I switched it grew 200%
Keep in mind that I didnt vegg for so long since my space is small. If the plant isnt finished vegging it will still vegg for a while when turned into 12/12. Turning to 12/12 only starts the flowering cykle. So If you vegg for a long time you will also know it´s done vegging. Meaning that it will not grow as much in size when turned into 12/12

OGs stretch a lot, if it is 20 inches now it can reach 40 or 60 easily. I'd flip to 12/12. What is the pot size?

Cheers

I have them in 3 galon pots. Can't fit any larger.
Is there a specific things I need to do when switching to flowering, like flushing, turn the light of for a day or something like that?

Hiya, you don't have to do anything except switch the light cycle to 12/12. Some people actually switch the cycle gradually though. What I mean by that is decrease the amount of light daily by an hour or so until you get to that magical 12/12. I've personally noticed that by gradually easing the plant into flowering, they tend to start forming flowers a few days earlier but that could be the strain or genetics or both........

Good Luck

Ok. Thank you so much. It seems everyone have their favorite ways of doing it..

I heard that before you change the timer to 12 12, you need to switch the light off for 2 days straight and then set it to 12..

Go figure :)
