Question on FILTER size.

I am setting up an approx. 8ft x 8ft tent and will be running 4 600W HPS'

I am going to cool the two rows of two lights with two canfan max 1000+ CFM's.

One fan for two lights. My question is...with one fan i want it open ended with a filter on the start so it will act like my exhaust. So it will go...
filter>light>fan>light>outside tent.
I think the fan is too strong as is, for this combo, so i will be adding a speed controller.

What size filter would i need? I have a fairly large Mountain Air filter that worked great for a 11x11ft. room, but it is too heavy to hang inside the tent.

if you have money I would buy myself a filter like this https://www.leafman.nl/carbon-active-carbon-filter-p-2683.html and refill it when its done or build your self your own .
I have a flowering room 3x2.5x2.5meters and similar situation my vent sucks hot air from cooltube in my veg. box and flowering room and then to filter that is outside the growroom .
I have constructed my own filter and it works perfectly i saved a lot of money.
my opinion you cant go wrong with taking bigger filter but you can go wrong by placing to small one

i believe the can 100 is rated for 1000cfm

i would go
fan>light>light>fan>filter

if you go filter first your going to get smell outa your hoods..

Stoner thanks for the tip. I am hoping to try and squeeze in the filter i have already. We all know how all this grow equip. adds up.

i know its hard to put the filter out of the growroom but really its best, same with having a fan befor and after lights when running more then 1 row.... i run 2 1k's with cool tubes with half a can 8" ho ( 735cfm) with no heat prob's the other half of the 8" is hooked to a can 38 filter inside the room.... mine had smell untell i went in and made sure all the duct/cooltubes where sealed with hvac tape

I don't quite understand. Can you explain that to me again? You have one fan pushing (or pulling) down one section of duct, and the same fan also doing work in another section of duct?

I was of the thought that One 10inch canfan max per a 2 600W would be more than enough.

i would not run 4 lights with one fan... 2 lights is ok but to keep air moving with 4 hoods id put onepushing & one pulling....

heres how mine is
8" split too 2 6" one to filter

then one to lights..... from the bottem of the lights its back out the room to fresh air....
