I need to feed my plants that are 49 days 12/12 but only have Blood and Bone meal. Can i make a tea out of these for blooming?

Hello,

I have not tried disolving bone meal in water but I can tell you that blood meal does not readily disolve.

In my experience anyway.

I think the best thing would be to sprinkle bone meal along the tops on your soil and
"sow" the bone meal 1-2 inches beneath the surface.....

then when you water you will leach out some of the Potassium which hopefully the plant will absorb in time to make a difference......

absolutely no chance to get a liquid pk boost product, eh...?

oh well thats my 2 cents...

:ying: kind regards from a guineapig :ying:

Top dressing is a great idea Guineapig. You could also make a tea. Just add 2Tbsp/gal of bonemeal to a lady's stocking, then use as a tea bag in some water. Either stur/shake the fluid regularly or aerate it with an small pump. In 48 hours you should have a tea colored liquid ready to use. Use at full strength for that plant. Since bone meal is typically 0-10-0 you will need a K supplement as well. Flowering plants need something more like a 0-10-10. You can get black strap molasses at the local grocery, health food store, or feed store for less than 3$. Be sure to get "Black strap" molasses, dont get fooled by "unsulphured". Molasses is around 1-0-5, so add this at 2tsp/gal to the the bone meal tea. You should do well with that.

Hope that helps.
