Question on a 2x4 tray in a maxed space

The first picture is of this very unique closet that literally has a table built-in.
The second is of my possible plan to put a 2x4 tray in.

What I'm asking is if I'll run into issues having a tray crammed in there like that? (about 2.5" clearance on the sides) It hopefully will work out perfectly because the res will sit in the corner of the L-shaped tabletop, and I'll save money by having something for the tray to sit on, but I'm worried I'm not giving myself enough room... Thoughts?

vertical with the few plants in one corner than the light in the opposite corner close to the two walls which will act as the reflector
fan for ventilation

what type of light source would be operating

600w HPS (or anything equipment will be new). And by vertical did you mean the light or the strain?
