Question - is this mix soil or soilless?

This is not really a problem, but I didn't get any specific answers in the growers section (I would like to prevent future problems).
I will just copy paste my post and hopefully some of you guys in this section will be able to answer my question:

Hi!
I have 2 mixes of "soil". Now i would like to know if they classify as soil or soilles (i need to know what the right pH for these mixes should be).

Mix #1:

white peat + black peat + some fine flintstone
Organic matter: 75-80%

Mix #2:

white peat + black peat + compost
Organic matter: 45-50%

In both mixes there are some NPK artifical fertilizers and perlite.

So does this classify as soil or soilless mix? What should be the right pH?

they are both soiless...you need atleast 50 -60 % earth to have 'soil'

Nice one Core, I think many people misunderstand what a "soil" is.

Sand/Silt/Clay BTW, or a majority of.

My understanding is that they would both be soil because of the peat content.

no, peat is considered a soiless medium; his mixture is considered soiless.

hi everyone !
If I understand this well,the plagron soil mixes I use that are composed of peat,perlite,nutrients and 10%worm humus are also considered soiless and should be watered at a more acidic pH that the 6.4 I use.
could you confirm that ?

You want to aim for the pH range of 5.5 to 6.3 I forgot to put that in my post.

i use plagron light ..like Stitch said ,it is soiless :smile:....optimum PH would be 5.8 ...ime

A professional horticulturalist would argue that pH range to their death. 5.5+-.3, for a general "plant", assuming you do not have any aluminum in your soilless mix.

It is absolutely species specific, and all the charts you see round here are of an unknown species. Many species prefer much higher or lower pH ranges. I have a feeling cannabis actually prefers the slightly higher pH ranges, which is why people run up to 7.0 in their peat "soil" (actually soilless) mixes, while others swear by 5.2. Being peat is naturally very acidic, I have a feeling raising pH is countered within the unreadable regions of peat based mixes. bla bla bla...I'll stop now.

Bush is one of the biggest hypocrite's I ever seen; the ****er used to go down to MExico with his brother Jeb and bring back lots of mexican cocaine; and when they came back over the boarder; the customs was not allowed to search them nor ask, just let them fly in and fly out when ever they pleased.

This was true the video was out for a bit and while bush was running for his president the video was bought out and destroyed; it was taped by a border agent who was filming them removing the drugs from there plane.

I seen the tapes and I know it's true. The asshole should not have been bought out, because for one I bet it would have hurt him badly, and people could call him more of a hypocrite considering the fact he was a druggie himself, but yet he is throwing around all his weight with the DEA and raiding sick people; the ****er needs thrown out of the white house on his ass and face.... the the ****er has the nerve to tell the judge to stay out of his business when he is trying to request proof why the CIA torture tapes were destroyed? The judge is a Kennedy so I highly doubt the dude will back down cause now they got a chance to nail that bitch to the wall!!!!

Some people don't know this, but a lot of prisons in Texas were torturing people in Jail and got away with it when HW was in office...... and not to mention he has made companies like black water and others working in Iraq EXEMPT from being prosecuted; so they can do what ever the **** they want and not get prosecuted in the US nor in IRAQ.

The one dude raped this women recently and when she pulled the whistle and told they ended up locking her in a shipping container to leave her to die, one of her friends followed them and let her out, but by the time they let her out it was 48 hours later and she is trying to get them busted; but since she told on them they are pushing there BS weight around and threating her with her job and shit.

Dude since SHE is also not able to be prosecuted, I would beat the shit out of the dude and have my way with him if he did something like that to me, I have a high standard when it comes to letting guys push me around, I won't tolerate it, don't care if I get hurt, I will NEVER let anyone put there hands on me and take it.

But yet these assholes are over there murdering/raping people and kidnapping and they can't get in trouble, but we growers get many years in prison for growing a plant. Anyone else find this completely asinine?
That is SOLID proof that when you got friends in the right places, anything or almost anyone can go away.
