question hydrohut/1000 w

iv been growing in soil with a 3x3 hydrohut and a 600 watt hps. i was just given a 1000 watt hps so id like to use up the 600 for veg and set up the 1000 for bloom what size hut should i get for the 1000? thanks for the help

Why not just keep the 3x3? If you really want to upgrade in size just go to a 4x4 maybe a 5x5.

I run two digital 600s in a 4x8 tent with great results. I used to run a 3x3 tent with one digital 600 and gave it to my buddy who threw a 1000 in it. He is having amazing results with his plants. I would only upgrade to a 4x4 tent with a thousand. Ir you can afford it and have the extra space get the 4x8x7 and use your 600 and 1000 in it. That would be the best upgrade.

1kw'ers do best over a 4x4 for 62.5 watts per sq foot It really depends on your style of growing if its worth the upgrade or not. You could always have 2 flowering rooms too

This was exactly my thought. Maximize the usage of the space you already have. A bigger sized hut isn't what is going to give you bigger yields. You are probably more likely to several ounces off of one or two large healthy plants rather than 4 or 6 medium sized plants. And with 11w per square foot, and a very stable feeding regiment, you can achieve the goals of 1g per watt production. I say stay with the 3x3.

i like Chubby's idea. go big. there is no reason you can't yield more with 16sqft over 9sqft, especially when talking about 1000 watters. anything else is a waste of energy imho.

i tried the 1000 in the 3x3 but i was having major heat issues so i had to put the 600 back in.
the 1000's hood only has 4" vent ducking and its sealed with glass. some one told me the venting should be bigger is that true? I'm using a fan made by AXT I'm not sure of the cfm but the model is 100 b-c. if any one has any good ideas on how i can make the 1000 work in the 3x3 then please let me know. thanks a lot for all the help

Either use a larger fan to cool the lamp or put A/C directly into the room.

I'm going to try a 8" fan instead of the 4" thanks for the help
