has anybody built this and fully understand how it works? There is the 240 dryer plug and another 120 plug... why is the 120 there? i assume its for the timer but im kinda worried about having electrical problems so i figure i should be safe befor just wiring it up and plugging it in.... If anybody has a little more information on how it works and how i can operate more lights from it would be helpful aswell :bat: sorry i suck

You dont suck man damn if you're not knowledgable in elec. how are you supposed to know lol?The black 120 volt plug operates the magnetic coil in the relay,it wont work until you plug it into a 120V outlet,in this case look at it as the switch. You can plug the 240V dryer plug into a hot receptacle and nothing will happen,no power to the 4 outlets. As soon as you plug in the 120V plug it energizes the 120V circuit slamming the contactor down and closing the 240V circuit so the 240V can flow to the 4 receptacles.Another words the 240V circuits are "open" until you energize the coil with the 120V plug, this "closes" the circuit allowing current to flow to the outlets.Hope that helpedEDIT and quit your fuckin brooding, you're luckier than you think

^^Exactly...the 120v plug connected to the coil is where you hook up your timer to control the lights that are plugged into the 240v plugs.
