Will the red led from a surge protector cause autoflower strains to hermi?

I was thinking it wouldn't since they flower under 24 hours of light, but I'd like to know before hand.

I very much doubt it should have any effect, Interrupting dark period is never anything that I've ever worried about when growing auto's and have never encountered hermi's.

However if it is going to bother you, why not just tape over the Led with some black electrical tape or something similar?

It's the 8 outlet timed surge protector from HTG. I'd have to tape up every socket that isn't being used because it shines through the inside of the surge protector and out every unused receptacle as well as off the side of the unit.

It's not super bright to my hps infused human eyes, but not sure that translates to the plants.

shouldent be a huge deal but like mitch said just put some electrical tape...very easy solution ....

It wouldn't take long to tape, but if you have like an old shoebox or something you could place it in their and poke holes through for the wires you need to run to the plug adaptor?

I guess I'll tape it up for safe measure. Just gonna be a pita. Gotta remove back wall and remove exhaust fan. Should have planned this cab a a little better.

It really shouldnt be a problem, but to ensure that it cant be answer for a problem later on break the light or Tape it like everyone has said.

What AF are you running anyway, as some have had reports of hermies and I wouldn't want you to think it was the light when it might be your genetics.

Been watching the pink bud strain a couple peeps got too. That guy really knew what he was doing.

Yeh there are some mixed reports of HBD, a fella had his hermie recently.. but others have said they have had no issues..

Don't think i've ever read of a hermie in the purple jems (purple mazar)

Havn't seen a cobra grow..

I'm confident in my abilities, and I know if it hermis it's due to genetics. Lots of time and money went into this new one. Kind of makes me sad that I would be so dumb as to place the most important part of the cab so out of reach.
