QUESTION for IC Chefs

C

CANNATOPIA

Why when put in a fridge & cooled does the canola Oil separate. What is on the bottom? Is that all the THC or Cannabis oils separating from the canola oil? Little Help lol

You're welcome.
It seems like anything that is used as a substance to break off the trichomes will have excess of it at the bottom of what ever material you are using. Its like keif in liquid.
The same type of thing happens when you make potent canna butter. The excess trichomes settle to the bottom and sometimes make it look like we did something wrong but if anything it just shows how potent you have made it.
Even when canna butter is in solid form some of this extra liquidy layer we are talking about can be seen on the bottom.
The thing to remember when using this is you might want to find a way to mix this up just before measuring to make anything, otherwise you will have inconsistent medibles; being that the stuff at the bottom is going to be MUCH more potent than the stuff at the top. Its all good either way:biggrin:
I hope you get what I am saying.

I just made some cannbutter with 9g of pretty potent herb and concentrates too, when I took the butter out of fridge it had brown goop stuff on the bottom different from the water below, I scrapped it off because I thought it was waste, I scrapped lightly and didnt remove any of the butter.

Did I just scrape and waste the most potent part of the butter I made? Brown goopy tichromes? lol noooooooo
