how big is your room? house or apartment? whats your budget? and what you aiming for?

if you are in the basement growing and the dryer is near by with in 20-30 feet depending on shit like walls and other bullshit you can dump all that hot air into your dryer vent.

hey stoneroad, op is the whole master bedroom 12x10x8 for flowering and 6x8x8 walk in closet for veg/clones. single story house w/ small attic & crawl space under. no basement. don't have a budget set yet. willing spend whatever i have to to exhaust hot air to safe & stealth location. i have four 1thou-e hanging already in flower room. just no duct work yet. will need another thou-e or 600 on light rail for veg room. i'm leaning towards another thou-e cuz i really want to try the hortilux 1k super blue mh lamp.

wuts up PharmaCan, air intake & exhaust is for the hoods only. fresh air is coming from the masterbedroom's bathroom open window. fresh air gotta go thru a can-filter in the bathroom first before hood ductings so i'm hoping that should take care of any smell on the exhausted end. door between bathroom & bedroom is now completely sealed but the filter is still in the bathroom just to be safe and to prevent bugs from going inside hoods. 2 propane tanks in bathroom too. bathroom has a second door that opens from/to the backyard in case i need to change out tanks.

a little info of myself. i've been grow'n for a little over a year in a 2 bedroom apartment (which is still in operation but a good friend is the gardner there now. i get half of the meds after all the bills are paid. i personally know the owner of the apt. and a relative of mine is the manager there :woohoo:) . i built a 2 section sealed room inside the spare bedroom. both flower & veg/clone room shared a single zone 18k btu mini split and 6 burner co2 gen with some clever vent work by a buddy who does air conditioning. Two 1-thou'e hortilux hps w/ GroStar parabolic reflectors. vertical lamp postioning. this reflector is almost 4ft wide and covers my 5x5 sog perfectly.

i have no experience with air-cool hoods whatsoever. i never planned to use ac hoods for this op in the first place. the hydro store guy that i use which is about 28 miles from me got me paranoid when he started talking about helicopter with heat sensors. saying five 1-thou'e that are not air cooled will be a dangerous op to run. now i'm all stressed out about where the hell i'm gonna exhaust all that heat. someone told me to look into something call IceBox heat exchanger. it looked dangerous to me when i checked it out. any water device close to lamp don't sound safe to me.

thanks in advance for you guys/gals time & help. greatly appreciate it.

How many lights do you air-cool and where do you exhaust the heat to ???

ij pull air from the basement and exhaust into the attick from one 600 watt HPS i use a cool tube in the summer and in the winter i use a super sun 2 ac hood.

To put it simply I run aircolled 1K MH and 800W combo for veg and exhaust into the attic

thanks for your input sparkjumper. i'm gonna start working on the ducting for the air-cooled lights tomorrow. i decided to only air-cool 2 of the magnum xxxl hoods to crawl space with a 6" vortex running 24/7 since i don't want anything to get inside the duct or fan. other 2 magnums will be ran without the glass since i'm not air-cooling them anyways. gotta go finish the door. peace out.
