Question about vegging in daylight

My veg cab is too full. Can I veg some of my plants in my house in direct sun for about two weeks, then move to my flower room? I'm talking about just leaving them indoors under normal day and night which I guess this time of year the days are long enough so they won't flower and just veg. I know the answer is probably yes, I also know the plants might not grow quite as much, but this is ok since the plants are getting a little bigger than I want since I started them about a week too soon. So can I just put them indoors or outdoors to veg for the next two weeks then move to flower closet?

Not too good for security to leave plants laying around. Also they would def have a good stretch if you change them from a HPS to just window lighting. Might just want to build you a veg cab and use a couple floros in there would def come in handy down the line.

Direct sun is best

Direct sun is best

Hey Talos

I'm a new member hwere, so take this with a grain of salt,
but direct sun is the light plants like best, period--IMHO.

I live in an apt with a loft and have north (no direct sun)
and east (lots of direct sun) facing windows. and I have
put plants out to veg in both. In the north window they
did grow slowly but also stayed healthy, but the sun
facing window plants grew faster with 4 or 5 hours of
direct sun than they did with 18 hrs of right under the
125w, 6400K envirolight CFL.

Aside from the security issue that CC brought up, my
biggest concern would be whatever pests might invade
your plants that you would take back into the flower
room. I also have a roof-top deck and live in SoCal so
the issue of pest control is the only reason why I don't
put them outside to veg this time of year.

Good luck and Peace...

Confucious say plant may like natural sunlight best, but plant grower like 6-7 harvests a year even better lol.If you do that you may get some excessive preflowering,if your gonna take cuts do it now or soon.

There's no comparison between artificial and sunlight. I would grow outdoors every year if I had the place. I would do one big grow a year outside and that would be it. No, these plants are gonna just be inside in direct sunlight for two weeks. Should be fine, they won't start flowering this early in the year, and there won't be any bugs. I do need to make a bigger veg cab

i would "harden" the plants off to the sun first. put them outdoors on an increasingly period of time to get them used to the sunlight. some plants react negatively to the sunlight after being grown under lights.
and watch for bugs.yes

I would also try to introduce the plants to the outdoors over the course of a few days, not just put them out there one day.

Besides that, they should do great outside, they'll love it!
