Question about vaporizing

Alright, so I'm sick of having to sit on the balcony in my apartment complex and be paranoid that someone is going to look over theirs and see me smoking, or someone is going to smell/see the smoke and call the cops. So I want to get a vaporizor so I can sit in my apartment and relax while smoking. Plus it's going to get real cold soon...

I've only ever used vapes twice, both times I used a VaporBros vaporizor. So my question is...

Are you supposed to be able to see the vapor? I feel like the people that own them are turning them up too high and just burning the weed. The weed shouldn't be black at all after vaping should it?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be ordering the VaporBros hands-free vaporizor when I harvest, in a few months.

No, the weed shouldn't be black. You just gotta play with the knob on your VB and you'll hone it done the way you want.

Lol, I just do bong hits IN my apartment... but the vaporizer is nice. You can see the vapor sometimes more than others. The higher the temp, I think the vapor gets a bit thicker. But I think on normal healthy vape hits, you can see the vapor against a light...thats normal in my book.

you can also get a odor filtering charcoal activated "mute" to blow the inhaled smoke into to reduce the smell. but vapes do produce odor. just not as much. do a thread search of carbon filters and use some plans to build your own smoking air filter. even just a small bucket and a fan next to your chair. then you wont have to freeze your ass off.

The smell that vapes make isn't as sharp or noticeable as smoke, and it goes away within minutes if you've got some air circulation going.

Is the vaped bud supposed to be black? No. I've only smoked out of my vape like 6 times and still haven't gotten the technique down yet (I get too high by the time I think I've got the heat setting figured out )

But bro, if you want to smoke in your apartment heres what I do. Go into your bathroom, shove towels under the door, and turn on your shower on hot so it makes steam. Turn on the bathroom fan (all bathroom fans vent directly outside so you don't have to worry about someone smelling it) and smoke up. Make sure there's enough steam to get the mirror foggy. But everytime I do that, there is hardly any smell at all. That method doesn't work too well with blunts though. The carbon filter idea by the dude above me will work fine though because I know you can blow cigeratte smoke through a carbon filter and it will absorb all the smell.

do any of you guys smoke jays, blunts freely in your apartment?? im moving soon into a apartment and just wondering how many of you can do that?finally moving out of the parents house.also i figured if you buy a fan and place it in your window the the suction will prevent any smell to leak out into your apartment.. this should allow you to smoke in your room freely.

the trick is to create negative pressure in the apt. with a fan by drawing air out, thus not allowing stinky air to seep under your front door into any halls or common areas. try not to smoke joints or blunts as they produce copious amounts of smoke. stick to smaller bowls and one hitters. put a towel on the floor at the front door to stop any seepage. dont use your front door to enter/exit after smoking. also before you go out freshen your breath! if you dont every time you say hi you'll be saying im high. just a few tips from an old fart. enjoy your new place and be careful.

I'll definitely be watercuring some of my first harvest, no doubt about that. If it works well, I'll learn how to roll a nice j and just go for a walk and smoke a bit, without worrying about smell.

you should be able to see the vapor coming out, if you are hitting it right you will feel it in the back of your throat untill you cant take it anymore and start coughing, and no it should not be black, gatta get the right temp

oh and i smoke bongs,blunts,joints,bowls,vapes everything in my apartment, but yet again so does everyone else who in the complex...not uncommon for the hallways to reek of weed

There's a few reasons I don't smoke in the apartment, one of which is because I'd like to keep it as low key as possible since I'm growing there. I know other people in my hallway smoke, as I can smell it in the hall frequently, but I'd rather not add myself to that. Call me paranoid, but I prefer living by "Better safe than sorry"

I think as long as you put a towel under your door your cool. I mean, its YOUR HOME even though its an apartment. As long as you arent bothering anyone else you have every right to do whatever you want in your own home.

I understand what you're all saying, but I'd rather not smoke indoors, tobacco, weed, or anything else simply because my roomate requested I didn't, and I don't feel like being an ass about it. I understand all the things you guys said before, but again, why draw any attention to yourself if you're growing?
