Every time I open icmag forums a new window opens with this message:
"Security error: Domain name mismatch
You have attempted to establish connection with icmag.com.However, the security certificate presented belongs to "www.icmag.com".It is possible, though unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept your communication with this site.
If you suspect the certificate shown does not belong to "icmag.com", please cancel the connection and notify the site administrator."

Well, I've always been a noob with pc's but this really troubles me.What do you fellas think?:hide::1help:

Relax...it's just an expired security certificate...just needs to be renewed. But yes, I would assume from time to time there are extra eyes around here....why do you think we are so big on security and ask that indentifying/personal info not be posted? Post smart and you're fine.

tons of people here use/grow for medical reasons and are legal and or in full compliance to do so. some times shit happens, so just plant another seed and let it grow ;)

it's because there ssl is probably set up for the site to be entered icmag.com instead of www.icmag.com, so if you add the www it will say the cert doesn't match, but how do you equate that to cops on the forum?

I am not sure if this is the case here but that is why I turned the ssl off at shroomotopia, the same thing was happening and I was worried about losing members...

silly answers..

simple and short, everyone pays for an SSL cert every so often, the owner of icmag hasnt updated theirs..

funny how people who don't know computers can make it seem just like magic

Anyone with knowledge of DNS knows you can route www.icmag.com to plain ol http://icmag.com ..a simple matter of entering a dns record

EDIT (just to spread some info): I'm even more amused at people these days who even bother to enter in the http, , www, or any of that crap..(except in the case of https, although i suppose you could just suffix the port such as "icmag.com:443" :) )

it's been this way since netscape guys, you only have to enter in the site name itself in the adress bar (such as icmag.com) and your dns lookup takes care of the rest (just something i wanted to pass along since i see it happen ALL the time)

Are you using Internet explorer for browsing? I've seen couple of threads with this certificate problem and it was resolved when they changed to other browsers like firefox, opera or chrome.
