I tried to sprout a seed in this rapid seed starter but it died after it sprouted. My Q is why did it die when it was kept watered and a light on it.
Im now trying again but not holding my breath.

Because sprouting in those plugs can be harsh. I recommend coco, rockwool or soil over those for sprouts. You have a dome and a tray? Keep it moist?

I think I just lost most of 4 - 72 count trays testing those root riot plugs.. Recent high temps in our greenhouse 120F and too much water to keep em damp.. Good for clones, not sure 'bout seed yet.. Holes pretty tight. I ripped em open and set the seed crowns up..

tried a few plugs last year vs soil. The plugs do seem to make the first transplant easier, just got a dial em in here.. The Domes mentioned are more for cloning than seed starting in my humble opinion.. Oxygen, moisture, heat in the right amounts.. and some patience..
