Question about Road runner auto flowers

I got some freebie road runner auto flowers and started them not knowing they were auto flowers. I have never grown auto flowers before.

i found some info that says they love lots of light and you don't need to put them on 12/12 flowering hours. I am currently running them on 20/4 hours. They have been showing flowers for 3 weeks.

My questions is are the hours correct and how long does the flowering cycle last, and when do i harvest them?

:thank you:

Cant go wrong with 20/4. AF's like roadrunner should finish in the 60-75 day time period from seed. So youre about 35 days into the grow, youre nearly there!

Ive run Roadrunner like 7x and never have i had one finish before day 65... most went closer to 75days from seed... 20/4 is perfect light schedule...

Dang what was the last week of growth like under 24/0? I bet if you stared long enough you actually saw the main cola expanding!

Thank you for the valuable info.

I am assuming from that info that they have a 60-65 day flowering cycle from first flower.

What the heck are you talking about from seed for? I'm interested in how long they flower not how long they may or may not grow from seed.

They grew for almost 30 days before they started showing flowers. I am sure growing time varies according to conditions.

So if i do the math from seed that means they flowers only 45 days.

Which one is it or can we be a little more confusing?
Thank you anyway you did answer my Question I think? :thank you:

If it took you 30 days for you plant to show pistils IMO you did something wrong... What size pots did you start them in???

Most growers when talking about autos talk about days from seed... I chop my RRs usually between 70 - 80 days old from seed...

Take a look at the pics they are 75 days from seed & a day or 2 before chop... Those are all from 1 of mylest harvest... I will post a few more pics of the other RR i just chopped...

i got a fem rr and i was thinking of hitting it with some cs to mke fem seeds now from them picts i knwo for sure i am

Nice pics :tiphat:

I did not think they were going to get all that big, Real pretty though.

This is why i like to grow full sized plants. looking foward to trying these road runners though.

it was not a waste of time to try them they did not take up much space. i was hoping the flowers would get bigger though.

thank you for the help :thank you:

Update/Question

Update/Question

My Road Runners will have been flowering for 60 days tomorrow.

I see by the pic's above that these plants turn a purple color in the leaves, and in, and around the flowers.

I have seen this change a little on fan leaves in one plant. Other wise all are still green but all are covered in sugar. there has been some slight color change in the hairs to brown.

Do i wait until they turn the color as the above plants before i cut them down. Will RR's always change color to purple. They have been on pure water and cleaned out for harvest for a week. With the expectation of harvest at 60 days.

:thank you:

some people like them some people say they are total shit, i pm'd some growers of them on youtube and they said it was a weak low potency leaf factory, others say the opposite and that its tasty dense potent erb.

Autoflowering plants (just as the name implies) flower based on the length of time from germination rather than the photoperiod.

Having grown a few of these,,, no, they don't ALL change color. At least not for me.
Some do, some just a little, some simply not.
Even grown side-by-side. So I doubt it's temps and such. Assuming phenos?
I've always enjoyed the offerings though. Never got one I was disapointed in (yet).
