Question about pollen?

I have 2 auto ak male plants that just started to show there sex,
How long should i wait till i can harvest viable pollen to impregnate other plants?

I let mine get to about 5 weeks of age before I put the males with the females or if I have collected it I let the female get to about 5 weeks and then apply it.
