Question about moving plants from hydro to soil.

Hey guys,
I have an absolutely failed my attempt at growing hydro for the first time. :badday: I was left with my friends equipment lent to me after he had set it up and did not realise (was not told) that the water pump has a switch that controls water flow so they spent 2 weeks at the start of flowering getting next to no water then got a huge neut spike. I still have two plants (of six) :( that will make it through to harvest, they are currently 4.5 weeks into flowering.
I have been gifted some new clones that I would like to put into the gullys and begin again but I need to move the old ones. My question is: are the old plants going to survive if I transplant them into a soil substrate from hydro through to completion or am I better off to just pull them and begin again? This decision needs to be made quickly as the clones are bursting out of their solo cups. :thank you:

if the plants are 4.5 weeks into flowering, it is to late to do any media changes.

i have held clones in cups for 12+ weeks. just make sure to water well, and feed often.

Plants that have been established in a media will not take a transplant very easily. The shock on the root system might be too much. The older the plant the less chance it has to survive.

Finish the plants in their media and just start the clones in soil.

Transplanting will mostlikely kill your plants.

They should b fine. No where near what could have been but live and learn. Best case scenario u r using rockwool ; then you can set them up in soilless ( bcuzz HP mix or make your own)not soil.
If your current system is using expanded clay then ya, you r better off finishing them where they r and you could start the new clones in the same space in a soilless medium.

Goes to show how water culture can b very finicky if your not on top of things..props for taking on such a system first time around though I would look into a coco or soilless method if your having to much trouble.they give you much more room for error.

Some people ramble on about cannabis but in the end its still just a weed; it can take a lot of abuse.
