Question about moving grow rooms to different locales.

I am about to tear down a couple 6 light grow rooms and move them to a different house. Towards the end of my growing here spider mites had gotten pretty bad, summer was picking up and my take down spray and neem just weren't really working too well any more. I plan on wasting all the soil and washing the smart pots in the washing machine, any other tips for not transporting the little buggers? Would spraying down the tents and equipment with bleach water do anything? any advice is appreciated!

Bleach water is good for general cleaning/antiseptic use, like fungi, but I don't think it will do that much for mites. After taking down the lights, filters, fans, etc., use a miticide on the tents inside and out, including bottom of floor. What to use depends on whether you want to stay organic or not. I would use a heavy dosage of Cedarcide PCO Choice [contact kill mites and eggs, repellent] or Safer's Insecticide Soap. Good luck. -granger

hm. i had just read that bleaching a room would take care of mites so that's what i did. i took the room apart, sprayed all the equipment with lysol and wiped it down with alcohol and then sprayed the entire room with bleach.

what about spraying rubbing alcohol in a closed space as sort of a gas chamber? i have a few miticides at my disposal but i'd rather not have to spray oil all over everything.
