Question about Light Venting

Hey,

Quick question I bought Venting hoses that are insulated. I was wondering I connected it to my Light Hood to take out the heat. If I use the venting with the insulation will it catch fire?

So basically its the plastic venting hose with a insulated sleeve (jacket around it)

Basically like this

I think that insulation is fibreglass, it may smoulder but I don't think it'll burn, put a match to it n see, goodluck.

You should be fine, the temperature of your hood won't ever get that hot if your cooling it with fans and fiberglass insulation doesn't burn very easily.

Check the package to verify products normal operating temps.

The plastic sheathing may off gas above as little as 105F.

Also all exposed fiberglass should be taped shut to prevent
the loose tiny air born fibers flying around and getting in your
lungs. Or your pet's lungs.
