Question about IR and Leo.

I got a 600w hps/mh in a walk-in closet being vented into my attic space. My home has vaulted ceilings so theres only about 1.5-2 feet between the ceiling and the roof decking. I would think that that would leave some type IR hot spot on my roof.
I'd like to know if its legal for cops to just drive or fly around looking for IR "hot spots"?
What about military aircraft? I live not to far from a few military air bases and there flying around all the time, I'm sure they got "really good" IR capabilities and was wondering if they might tip off the local cops? And no I don't think I'm staring in "Goodfellas" with helicopters chasing me around. LOL!

Also, has anyone tried or used that IR blocking material that looks like mylar and panda? I've given some thought about getting some and been wondering if anyone uses it.

Thanks for any and all thoughts and opinions.

haha you are being paranoid man. a 600 watt is nothing to worry about IR...if you were running 10k then start to worry about it....

Yo Dude Your being PaRaNoId..I grew outdoors in my backyard for years had the state police fly by everyday like clock work it would freak me out then it dawn on me that they had better things to do then to worry about me.. But you my friend don't have anything to worry about just say to yourself that if they look down on you, that it'll just look like a HOT TUB.

I would think that if you were using a standard in-line fan that there would be sufficient air movement to spread out any heat enough as to not make a single hot spot.

Also 600w is not a whole lot.

I doubt most military aircraft have flir & if they do I doubt they care about you!
The c-130's that have flir they don't use it that much!:plant grow::smoweed:

My asshole used to pucker up everytime I heard a helicopter. Nowadays, I don't even notice. Besides, they need a warent to fly over with flir, if they get a warrent you already fucked up, and they will be knocking on your door not flying over.

That said, I do try spread my heat out and avoid hot spots, when I design build.

Make sure you put a little tin foil hat on the top of your vent, and you should be fine.

it costs 400 an hour to operate those choppers maybe more....right now its all about cost versus reward. they are not using FLIR to fly over a 1 light grow. and anyways, a 600 watt barely creates enough of a heat signature for anything...a computer and tv/dvd would create more lol.

if you are really concerned pick up some REFLECTIX IR blocker...i have my whole room layered with it just because i think it looks cool..but apparently if used correctly it also blocks FLIR cameras...

Of course if it wasn't bullshit like some of the thing on cannabis on cnbc they said it was around a $1000.00 HR. to go looking for pot in Kentucky! Almost any helicopter with crew & fuel & maint. is c[going to cost that much! But then again they are after us criminals growing a plant money is nothing when it isn't there's!:plant grow::smoweed:
