Just finished measuring the room ill be using and found out the height from the light to the floor is only about 4 feet. I'm using a 600w hps light. Is this going to end up being a really big problem once I get my grow going ? If so what do I need to do now to take care of the problem. Any advice is appreciated.

It depends on what style of grow you're planning on doing. If you're planning on doing a tree grow, then it's going to be a BIG issue....for scrog/SOG/small bushes you're set.

I would do a sog for height reasons. If you really want to experiment try a verical grow saves space anyways.

4ft is enuff, I think I got about 5" then I take out 1" of that with a bench and my tub then the light comes in from the top....
its do-able like all b4 me have said.... you just need the right technique and gear for your space. Do a few searches and spend some time reading up.... get a feel for what can be done...
Here's a few decisions to ponder... sorry if you have "decided" these in your other post... I cant recall
decide:
if soil or hydro grow
strain your growing - different heights for diff strain, rule of thumb; sativa - taller, indica - shorter
once you decided this consider these:
the suitable containers for em - pots, tubs, trays (soil, hydro dwc, hydro ebbnflow)
next is heat, heat kinda hovers round the lamp so the plants will be able to get so close then no more.....This reduces your available height cause plant will burn in that zone.... cool tube sux the heat from around the lamp and allows plants to grow closer to lamp.
CFL's are much cooler per watt but much less yield...... plants will grow up against the lamp... mine do in the clone room...only 130 watts anyhow..
hopefully that'll give you something to go on... . check out the HOG grow in the link I posted last time... its a low height technique which is efficient for max light usage which directly affects yield... SCROG is same just without the curved screen..... should be plenty on that here

I plan on doing soil. I'm thinking of making the moonshine mix with fox farm soils listed on another topic on here. From what I understand If i use this mix I wont have to feed the plant for the whole cycle.
As for strain I was going to get trainwreck but due to height problems I might pick up something else instead.

yeah thats the stuff.... it looks good from here... holes about 1" - 1.5" or bit more.
i used a plastic version of that... lighter but gets its own shape sometimes which can make it a pain to keep right shape... I figure wires gonna hold its shape on its own, I want it to work with me not agin me.. thats gonna do it no probs.. I'll be using something similar this time
I also think i seen a thread hereabouts which was a list of scrog threads on the forum. All your info in one place.... sweet...dude
