Question about bubble hash and how to process it correctly...

My post about using Reynolds Wrap Non-Stick Aluminum Foil has been "deleted". I find that it is now called Release, and was a complete fail with my current hash stash. Oh well...........

I was also thinking about boiling water, and putting the hash in a pan and setting it above the steam and hoping the steam will melt it just a bit and make it more plyable...

whattya thnk?

Wrap hash in grease proof paper and put it in a rubber glove, put the rubber glove in a pan of boiled water.
5-10 minutes it should be soft enough to roll or cut easilly.

I believe the problem might be that you worked the starting material for too long, thus producing that green hash you showed us. Normally pressing bubble should not present a problem if the quality is good enough. I know my hash will stick and press with the warmth of my palm. Dont wanna sound like a jerk, and i might be wrong...after all you normally show us killer stuff;-)

Stay Safe

quote, this could be true.

if all else fails cook with it or turn it into BHO

finally figured out hash after about 30 runs...

the answer to being able to find shit that is plyable is you have to use trim that has never been dried...

all along i was using trim that was dried, then frozen, then put through the extraction process...

silly me...

it all gets ya high, its just that the bubbly stuff is more pure and more pleasant to smoke, and fun to watch bubble might i add...

goodnight!

thanks for the input guys, i have not done anything with it yet! im still letting it dry...

it feels as if it is TOO dry right now... i try to press the pieces by hand but none of them seem to want to mend.

i took some pics, let me see if i can get them up here...

wooo hooo

i love me some straight up mendable bubble! its so funny to show it to people who have never seen hash.... im amazed at how many youngins dont know jack shit about hash...

whenever i mention to older folks that I have hash, they all just about shit themselves - "YOU CAN GET HASH?@?!?!?@?@" I hear it all the time...

i finally just brought some of my bubble hash to an old-timer and boy oh boy did I have a great time just watching this guy react.... that there ittself is worth more to me then money would ever be worth... giving someone satisfaction...

anyways, here are some more pictures... i have been going hash crazy lately..

i think i might have also thought of a new invention that will allow washing machine hash to be processed a LOT quicker then the current methods..

I once tried heating up a spoon over the stove then smashing the hash with it, but it seemed like i ended up just cooking the hash.. dont wanna do that again!

I was also thinking about boiling water, and putting the hash in a pan and setting it above the steam and hoping the steam will melt it just a bit and make it more plyable...

what I do is take some cellophane wrapping paper like for gifts.. fold a 6x6 square into a pocket fill it with dried powder and then wrap it tight, after I wrap it in tin foil and get the electric pancake grill warmed to 300 and put the tinfoil pack on it with a 10lb weight on it, after about 5 min I take it off and squeeze it between two boards with a vise. after it cools I take it out and its is plyable and black. and its not near as coughy as before too.

Thats quite a difference between the wt froze and dry froze. I'd have never thought you'd lose so much by using wet froze.
By the way I love the washing machine idea. I plan on doing so next yrs outdoor crop. Did you find better returns from the washing maching then by hand in a pail with a mixer of sorts?

Well the washing machine idea is excellent because it makes the mixing part of the job a BREEZE... its pretty much set it and forget it...well my washer sucks because its mixing setting only goes for about 4 minutes, so i have to stand there and re-dial it back to mix every 4 minutes... but it sure beats standing there with a drill for 15-20 minutes and holding down a trigger...

i watched a video of a guy using a milwaukee angle drill with a cement mixer and they were mixing the trim right in a 32gal BRUTE right in the 220u bag.... they pulled out a zip-2zips each run...

the biggest problem with the washing machine into 8bag 5gal set is that there is WAYYYY too much resin for the surface area of the screens on the bags so it causes a big delay. It also comes to a point where the screens just get jammed with so much resin/crystals that you have no choice but to pull the bags instead of running the entire amount of water in the washing machines through them....

if you have ever used bags, its a pain in the ass to pull the bags out, scrape the crystals, then re-wash the bags, and then put them all back in place into the bucket...

so for every 20 minute run in the washing machine, i will probably have to pull the bags about 2-3 times before i filter the entire washing machine worth of resinated water.... i believe with the 32 gallon set, you can spin the hell out of the water, and drain it all one time into the bags and just pull the bags ONCE and have a shitload of hash in various grades...

im glad i watched this dudes vids because i was taking all of my water that was caught in the brute and i was just dumping it into the lawn.... i DID NOT KNOW that it still contained TONS of ccrystals/resin... figured that shit would all get captured in the bags...

this dude really does it the best way... time is money, and each one of this dudes bags is full of way more resin then all of my runs combined! that is a tremendous difference!

so guess what my next purchase will be?

32 gal bubblebags!! just sucks that they are so much damn money! im going to have as much money invested into hash making paraphernalia as i have invested into my grow room!

mixing drill not only yields freaking great, but usually get real bubble out of 73 and 45. Use one what is more open in the middle, so its not tearing up the marijuana leaf, thus creating more contaminates. in your Hash.

Gonna try to bring this thread back to life. Hey lonewolf when you say wet trim is that like trim that was cut fresh hours or less before you put it in the freezer? Also since it look liked you yielded so much more with the dry trim in the bubble bags do you think it would be a good idea to put half wet and half dry frozen trimmings?

hey man - when i say wet, i mean wet... no matter how long its been sitting around, as long as it still has moisture in it, you should freeze it then make into hash...

i wouldn't recommend mixing wet and dry but you can do it, its just a waste cuz you would be contaminating your full melt (which comes from the wet trim) with dried leaf matter from the dry trim...

ya the fresher the trim the better I think too. I can just hand roll my bubble when I use fresh and don't have to go through all the other process.

I'm not sure if such a difference in quality would warrant such a large sacrifice in yield.

You are making no sense unless you are purposely trying to produce an inferior product.

You can either have
-hash w/ a high concentration of trichomes and high potency
-or 50% hash and 50% non productive leaf material, w/ a resulting 50% potency
