Question about bottom intake vent

Hello, just a simple question, does bottom intake vent needs carbon filter for odor control? Like how much odor comes out from intake vent? Sry for noob question..

As far as i know, none is needed.
The air is being pushed inside and can't escape from it as long your intake is running.

As long as you're using passive intake (no fan) and active exhuast (exhaust fan at top) you should have a negative pressure environment,meaning no smell leaking from the intakes.
