Q'S ABUOT CREATING THE PROPER ENVIORNMENT

IM IN THE PROCESS OF GATHERING THE SUPPLIES FOR MY 1ST GROW AND I HAVE A COUPLE QUESTIONS & IM SURE IM GONNA HAVE ALOT MORE LATER ON IM GONNA BE RUNNING A 3K SUTUP AND I HAVE PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING WORKED OUT EXCEPT STRAIN AND A LIGHTING SETUP

DOES IT MATTER WHAT BRAND LIGHT I GO WITH, IS THERE A PARTICULAR MAKE MODEL THAT IS SUPERIOR OR ANYTHING TO STAY AWAY FROM?

ARE PORTABLE A/C UNITS (WINDOWLESS) A BAD IDEA? IVE NOTICE THAT EVERYONE SEEMS TO USE WALL UNITS & I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS A REASON WHY?

portable A/C units are not effecient and they exchange(vent ) alota air /co2 if you are going to add co2 .Window units are the second best way .The best A/C would be a split uint ,but there spendy and require special tools and knowledge to install
Brand of light?bulb ballast or reflector?My picks would be 220volt 1K Lumatec ballast ,Super Sun 2 reflector,Standard Phillips or GE 1000 watt hps+mh bulbs

3k watts will generate a good amount of heat. I hope your ventilation is adequate.

Brand name ballasts are good but not necessary. Also, you may want to look into CMH. Do your homework on them though as they do not currently support digital ballasts <-- or vise/versa - if i understand it correctly. A standard core/coil HPS ballast will run it's native bulb and the CMH as well as an MH conversion. Best all around ballast IMO. HTG Supply is pretty good.

For hoods, i'd make sure to get something with venting options (ie. air cooled reflector/cool tube etc.). Like Bozo said, standard bulbs, Eye Hortilux etc. are overpriced junk IMO.

Run 3 x 1000 watters, any brand, get some cheap mag ballasts. Go with Sun Systems 2 reflectors. Please, wire it for 240 volt. Any setup over 2000w should be 240 volt imo.

Get a 6 inch fan to pull through the lights, have the fan draw fresh air from outside the cab and push it out of the cab. Get another 6 or 8 inch and a carbon filter for exhaust.

IVE HAD A COUPLE OF SMALL OUTDOOR CROPS, BUT THIS IS MY 1ST TIME BUILDING A GROWROOM & I PLAN TO GET IT RIGHT. THAT WHY IM ON HERE

BUT IS IT BETTER TO RUN AN INLINE OR WILL THE ACTIVATED BE OKAY?

All carbon filters are activated. Inline ones are more expensive, you don't need it.
Get 2 six inch vortex fans. Have one cool your light hoods. Have the other pull through an activated carbon filter and out of your room to exhaust. Leave an opening in the room to let intake air in, but make it light-tight.
