Anyone know where a 1/2" by 1/2" to 1/4" can be found?
I came across this model: Hydro Flow Barbed Reducer Tee Fitting, 1/2 Inch to 1/4 Inch, Bag of 10
but apparently, according to numerous negative reviews, it's not accurate sizing:
"NOT 1/2 in to 1/4 in
This is Metric sold as US standard. Will not work on drip irrigation. This Sh*t qualifies as ZERO star.
See pictures with digital caliper
The 1/2 in. does not fit. The 1/4 in. does not fit either. This product is absolutely useless for drip irrigation.
1/2 in. is in fact 12mm (12.3 mm ) Polytubing is 0.600" ID x 0.700" OD , this one is 0.48" The max diameter on the barbed side is 0.54.
This piece of junk will fall off the tube "as is"
1/4 in. side: The 1/4 side has a mini diameter of 6mm, barbed diameter of 7.85mm or .31" GOOD LUCK inserting a 1/4 in in there.
Instead of buying this, Just burn your money."
This person recommends a DIY, which would be both more costly and more time consuming so would rather avoid that if possible.
And I've been scouring various plumbing supplier sites, without any positive leads.
I'm building a vertical hydro system using gutters and 1/2" supply lines that reduce to 1/4" so if anyone knows where to find that reducing tee i'd grately appreciate! Or if anyone knows of something similar in sizing, it has to be 1/2" but it can reduce to a size that's slightly smaller or larger.
thanks!
