Purple Veins - P Def - 9th week of flower??

Alrighty, though I can usually spot right on the problems others are having, this one seems to be stumping me.

Sorry no pics but I'll try to desc as best as possible

Strain: Northern Lights
Week: 9 of flower
EC: 1.75
Nutes: PBP Bloom (15ml/gal), CalMag (5ml/gal)
pH: Was 6.3-6.4 for a couple days, lowered to 5.7

Area affected: New growth!

Symptom: Purple veins, leafs beginning to get a purple color to them

This to me looks like a P def, however I just dont get how with that EC these could be having a def.

One thing to note: I changed the rez and redid all nutes (been running throughout grow and not had any probs) and pH was at 5.7 when I started it up. 24hrs later the pH was 6.1... this is NOT normal behavior for these plants as I've watched the pH slowly drift up, sometimes only a .1 per day....

Is this due to the plants being almost at the point of flushing? I believe NL is a 10-12week strain so I wasnt planning on flushing until nxt week.

Thanks for any help you can provide and if ya need more info please lemme know!!!!

im nto really sure as i do not have any experience with electroconducitvy and what not..but id say if the strain finishes in another 2-3 weeks...i wouldnt worry bout deficencies, i would think it is just the natural senesense of the plant. Phospohurs starts locking out with ph's higher than 6. But honestly...if i were you, and my strain was gonna be done in a couple weeks, i would def think about flushing...but thats just me

hopefully all goes well man..i know my info prob isnt that helpful..but its what i kno...hahaha peace man...happy growin

Yea, I totally hear ya about the flushing thing and not to worry.

Guess I'm just really shocked that they show any def's.... I'm also really wondering why the sudden jumps in pH. Using the same nutes, same quantities and same top-offs as I have been the entire grow...makes no sense to suddenly get this pH/purple issue right at the end of their little lives.

Nirvana I believe. How would that affect what looks to be a P lockout at the very end of flowering?

Well after an evening I found the following:

Water level hardly moved
ppm's went UP - started at EC 1.7 and by morning was EC 2.0
pH went UP - was at 5.6 and by morning was 6.2!

This seems to me that the plants are no longer eating. Do they typically just stop eating at 3 weeks before their to be pulled? Could it be my nute strength was way too strong?

Either way I dumped it all and am flushing now.

Please tell me someone else has experienced this and knows it's "all good"... ?

Ahh true, didn't even think about it being a mobile nute.

So what would cause purple veins (not talkin stems here) on the new growth leaves along with them beginning to turn color and tips are slightly burnt? Toxicity? Ya know, now that I think of that I suppose as the older the plants get the less nutes they need (though this is not what I've read).

I dunno...weird shit. PPM's going up, water level not going down, plants showing weirdness with only days to go before their appointed flush. Oh well.

The reason why asked is because most Nirvana strains have a tendency to turn purple, some do it more than others, its prolly just the genes. I heard that Nirvana crosses all their strains with colorful males to help produce colors in their strains. I was thinking it was Nirvana, don't worry man, you can look around on here and find more colorful Nirvana phenos.

Peace

i grow a white widow/n.l. cross and my leaves and upper buds will turn purple on me in the cooler months and won't in the hotter months...wonder if it's the northern lights lineage to purp up in cooler climates...
