Strain: Purple Urkle (elite clone)
Method of sampling: Joint, Zig-Zag papers
Sample size: about .6 g
Initial Smell: Sweet, slightly sharp. Like, grape Pez candy. The smell of this sample wasn't very intense, but that may be due to drying or curing method.
I used a small pair of scissors to cut up the bud, and my first thought was how dense the bud is. Even though you can see some leaf on the bud, it is so crystally you couldn't really just break it up with your fingers. It's rock solid.
I roll it up into a cone-shaped joint, and it's really easy to shape. Even though it's well dried and not sticky to the touch, as soon as I roll it down it stays put.
Okay, first half of the joint- the smoke is really smooth and easy on the lungs. The bud is so dense it burns really slowly and leaves a heavy, dark ash. Even though it's heavy, the light candy flavor comes through. The smoke's not really very expansive, but creamy and dense. This joint burns for days......
Second half- the flavor didn't really last through the whole joint, and I wish I'd used an Aleda paper. The Zig-Zag flavor actually kind of covers the taste. I get the squints and start coughing here and there. Coughing makes the high come on nice and strong.
The high is really nice. I don't think it would be the best pain reliever, my sense of touch and connection to my body wasn't effected the way it is with some strains. One thing I really like is the sense of 3D. A lot of pot tends to give me a sense of flat-ness, especially if I'm spacing out a little and thinking. Not with this stuff, everything is really cool looking and has flow to it. As I focus on one thing close to me and walk, like a tree in front of me, the things behind it have a sense of motion and depth. There is a little bit of a visual effect and a floaty head high that kind of reminds me of a little bit of nitrous, although not very intense. If I were going to a modern art museum I would love to smoke some of this first. I feel really active and alert, socializing or going out would be cool even though I'm pretty baked.
All in all this is great every-day pot that has a high cieling and a nice effect. I would probably keep a strong Indica around with this though for night time smoking and pain relief.
Thanks again to the producer of this fine sample
