Purple skunk?

I got a skunk clone from a guy i worked with this summer and i cloned it and grew it outdoors.

About half way through flowering it started turning purple but i figured it was because of the cold nights. However, I recently flowered (indoors) one of the clones that came from it and it has now started going purple too.

I've had many plants with some purple on them before, but its only been kinda blotchy random purple spots on leaves and buds and this actually has a general purple colour to the whole plant.

the buds themselves aren't very purple and the colour dries out of them, but i still find it interesting because i barely have any experience beyond lowryder and bagseed.

My question:1. is a purple pheno common for skunk strains?
2. Is there a common skunk or skunk derivative that goes purple?
3. Who else has got some colourful skunk to show off?

From what i remember Purple Skunk is another name for one of the God/Godbud (Not BcGod Bud) clones that made it's rounds in canada a couple years back. A guy named Krusty first showed the plant in his bucket system here or on the old cw site. The buds looked similar to yours with a lot of crystal and purple leaves instead of calyxes/bud. He said it was the smallest plant in the garden but it smelled up the place. I'll try to find some links for you. Later

I have heard of alot of nirvana strains going purple due to the skunk #1 used to create them, also the skunk I grew some years back also turned purple regardless of temps. Ho[pe this helps a little :D

Thanks for the info and links dudes.

Hmm, to think that a plant i have could have come from somewhere... reputable.

I mean, i've got lowryders but they're more of a novelty and a neat gene pool to play in than anything for real smoke.

The buds the smell and the smoke from these plants are far beyond anything from any of my other strains.
